[QLD] Daniel Morcombe awareness ride

Recommended Posts

We have been invited to attend the Ride for Daniel event on the 11th June 2006. It is a bike ride, but cars are welcome, we will be at the back, but that's cool.

The idea of this event is to raise awareness of Daniel Morcombe's disappearance and to raise funds

Below are the details of the day:

A motorcycle ride has been organised to maintain public awareness of Daniel Morcombe's disappearance.

When: Queen's Birthday weekend 11 June 2006

Assemble: 9am with a departure time 10am

Venue: Leave from Big Pineapple Carpark (lower side) Sunshine Coast. Food and drink will be available before the ride.

From the Big Pineapple we will ride past Daniel's memorial and head up the coast returning back down the Bruce Highway to the Ettamogah Pub.

There will be a donation of $10 each. This will pay for a commemorative patch and all remaining money will be donated to the Morcombe family trust.

See the website at http://www.ridefordaniel.com/cgi/daniel.py?RideForDaniel for further details.

Camping facilities are being organised at the Ettamogah Pub with meals available.

I am in contact with the organiser and can answer any questions you may have about the day, so please dont hesitate to ask

Please put your name down on the list so I know how many are likely to attend.

This is a positive day, so please keep this thread positive too.

Thanks

Donna
