Gear select fault

Hi all,

I am new to the Prius C Forum.

I have owned a 2015 Prius C i-tech since new. Just this week the gear selection play up. I had the car in Drive and had stopped traffic lights but when the lights changed and I pressed the accelerator pedal nothing happened. The dash indicated that the car was still in D. After a few moments confusion, I selected reverse and then put the car back into drive and managed to drive off.

At other times I have noticed the car just seems more noisy than usual and or it has not gone into electric mode when I might have expected when the battery was well charged.

Has anyone in Australia had the same problem - particularly with the gear selection? I feel like the Toyota dealer wont do anything if I take it back to them when it is not playing up, but I am worried that the car is going to fail me and cause an accident.
