2012 Rav4 boot / rear door locking mechanism

I have a 2012 Rav4. The central locking mechamism in rear / boot door is the only locking mechamism that doesn't work in all 5 doors. I removed the rear panel and unplugged the connector. Connector seems fine. Put a meter across the terminals and pressed the lock/unlock button on the key. I can see there is a switch in the signal but cant see a clear voltage as it switches fairly quickly. Does anyone know what it should read? I have removed the mechanism, is there anyway to test the mechanism?
