Hi...just looking for advice or opinions... we have a 2006 FTE 100 series with 260km on the clock.  We need a ute.  We are tossing up buying a 2021 hilux or getting a chop done or the cruiser and keeping it.... we're unsure whether or not getting rid of the cruiser is a good idea or not. It is an awesome car which has never given us any trouble and we love it.  It has all the add ons already, and we'd have to factor in extra cost of adding these to the hilux ( winch, snorkel, bull bar, long range tank, diff locks, uhf etc).  What do you all reckon? Sell and buy hilux or keep and chop? Cheers

Hi. Karin, I have just joined so not sure how long your post has been up as it shows March 2 but no year, I have just had my 2004 100 series (168,000 km) converted by Creative Conversions in Brendale north of Brisbane, we have had the vehicle from new and were very apprehensive about taking an angle grinder to an as good as new vehicle but after much anguish we went ahead and had it done, and not only were Creative Conversions very professional but we are extremely happy with the car (go for it😊)

For the first trip after conversion I towed a 22' caravan over to W.A. and back (20,000 km) which included (vehicle only) the Gibb river road, I had no issues with the vehicle at all and only convinced me I did the right thing.

Regards John
