Rukus fob issues

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

first time user of the forum and have an issue getting into my car. Thought no problem will use the key facility to no avail. Got the spare fob out and exactly the same issue. Checked both fob's and the red light is lighting up and both keys would not open the door. Have had the car for nearly six years with no issues until now and at a loss how to gain access so I can check the battery. Any advise would be appreciated and the year of manufacture is 2011 series 1.

Hi Bill,

The first thing I would do is to replace the batteries in the fobs. The LED lighting up doesn't necessarily mean it is transmitting. Remember that the batteries could be 12 years old.
