Windows wont work after Jump start

Yesterday my battery finally died.. 

Whilst waiting for a jump I opened my driver and passenger front windows, once it was jumped the auto feature on my drivers window wont work (still opens and closes) and passenger window wont move at all its stuck in the down position.

Seems like there must be a reset function... any help will be much appreciated!

Easy fix, OPEN your window, then CLOSE the window ( This time Continue to HOLD the switch UP for a further 10-15  sec ) 

Then reopen the window and once again continue to HOLD THE SWITCH DOWN for a further 10-15 Seconds,

Shut her down, turn IGN back on 

Window auto function all reset, no probs, Leave the money on the fridge

      Change Low Beam Headlamp on 2003 Corolla...

      ...Seca Levin ?hatchback. Hi All... I was asked to change the blown low-beam bulb on the RH light for this vehicle. Usually, such a thing would not be a problem - I've changed heaps on different vehicles before - but it not being my car, I looked it up on YT first. NOT ONE of the many videos showed exactly this model, and some said I needed to take off the front guard, while others showed the bulb replacement from just behind the light assembly. I can't do the latter method because on the RHS I crash into the power brakes assembly and there's just no room to move your hand, so I'm suspecting it's removing the panel !!! Question: Can anyone verify what I should be able to do? Thanks, M.

      Toyota aurion

      Put in new rotors and breaks in the front and now when putting in gear seem have a clunk noise on driver side but when u apply break hard no clunk im confuse what causing the issue may be the discs or caliper

      My new purchase 2010 V6

      Thanks mate, good to hear you had it from new. Reliabilty plus. My roof is starting to show signs of clearcoat fade, but am considering a respray in the near fututre. Got a few more mods to do to the car, should look good once I've finished.

      Nav/Entertainment system software updates

      I'm in the same boat with the 2016 RAV4 (without Nav). Was researching this today, and it looks like AUS & NZ dont get the same stereos and Toyota AUS aren't making this readily available like the US does. Hopefully someone can provide files for this.       My new purchase 2010 V6

      Can't answer the tyre rim question, but I've got this model from new. Currently have 293,000Kms on it and it has never skipped a beat and still drives like new. I've put a UHF Radio and replace the standard stereo with a CarPlay/Android Auto Sony Head Deck in it and it will last our family until it dies. Yours looks in better condition, but I've got the silver plastic fading now.

      Current Drain

      Well that was a task . Turns out the fault was eventually diagnosed as a Redtek folding mirror module that was drawing nearly 1 amp every 30 seconds and thus draining the battery in 2 days . It took 2 auto electricians literally weeks to diagnose the fault . Cost ,bloody expensive . I've posted on other pages about this fault and one guy was happy to work out what it was . Redtek asked for invoices to pass on to manufacturer for compensation , but they have stopped communicating now . Shame ,cos i do like supporting Oz businesses .

      Air Conditioner not workimg

      Modern AC systems are quite complicated, so I don't blame the so called specialists not being able to figure it out. One would need a wiring diagram for the car's electrics to see what components and or modules are in the pathway. Sometimes is as simple as just replacing the climate controller in the dash. Just speculating.. Things like relays very rarely go bad. They would survive a nuclear event in most cases.. haha. It has to be either a bad sensor or a module, assuming it hasn't lost its gas charge.

      Leather steering wheel peeling

      Unfortunately, Toyota materials quality has gone to crap in recent years which is why I'm not surprised your wheel has started to disintegrate. I would say best of luck trying to get the dealer to replace it. Chances would be buckley's and none mate. I would advocate for prevention and not cure in cases like this and treat the "leather" components of an interior with a ceramic coating to help resist chemical attack, Especially steering wheels, where the acids from your hands can and will degrade the substrate within a few short years if you're not careful, especially when car makers are getting very cheeky by using faux material and calling it leather.. Welcome to the new world of motoring rip offs.
