2005 Toyota Camry Altise - changing transmission fluid?

I've recently come into the possession of a 2005 Toyota Camry Altise with 160,000 KM's and a spotty service history and have been doing some basic maintenance and repair work on it. Everything's been going pretty smoothly but I've been getting some mixed responses with whether I should change the automatic transmission fluid or not. Some people say that if it hasn't been regularly changed, the transmission may be worn and be relying on the particulates in the old fluid to make shifts.

Does anyone have any experience or advice on this?
