damaged driver's side mirror

Hello All,

I own a 2003 Corolla Conquest and lucky for me some idiot has broken the driver's side mirror. Can anyone recommend somewhere where i can get it fixed for reasonably cheap, the good thing is its on the "glass" part of the mirror because the power mirror controls still move it

i think from now on i will fold both my mirrors in

can ANYONE recommend an auto wreckers, someone who cuts mirrors to size because im desperate enough to buy a cut to size mirror and glue it on

from what your saying only the mirror is damaged?

just go get a cut mirror and replace it. Repairers will do the same thing.

auto wreckers will not separate the glass from the housing.

check toyota if they will sell it, but i doubt it. They wont separate commonly broken parts, they want you to buy the whole thing.

hello all, I think the best (cheapest) way to fix the damage is to go to a glaziers and get a mirror cut to size

btw Sydney City Toyota quoted $127 JUST for the glass part of the mirror

I had it done once before by one of the windscreen repairers. O'Brien I think.

It was really cheap. Hopefully they still do it - give them a ring.

hello all, I just had the mirror repaired by Windscreen o'briens as mtbrider suggested. it only cost me $50 !! to get a new one installed, compared to Toyota's quote of $127 JUST for the glass

Glad to help. Good to see O'Briens still do it but they have obviously cottoned on to the price. I think I only paid about $10.
