  1. i was wondering i currently have all the extra hoses blocked off? what do they do? i know what the vacumm but what are the rest? like the charcoal canister plug thing? is it unsafe that i have all of them blocked off?

  2. hi i was wondering with the CAI, the extra hoses, not the vacumm one, what do they do? i read something about a charcoal canister? i currently have them all blocked off, is that bad? if so i shall recorrect this in the morning im just not sure what needs to be done since i bought a second hand one

  3. lol go the prefacelifts with the facelift lights! are you planning to do the JDM style as well? i really like what you have done with the wingtips, ive seen people mould them on, but not as flat as that, that looks crazy!, heaps better then the mould when its just sitting on top lol

  4. Oh wow, can u pm me an guided instruction of how to change or wire those cabling?

as mine is a prefacelift rolla, but i have a pair of face lift tail light sitting on my garage but dont know how to change the plugs?

if u can, it will be great! :)

    thanks

hey i've done this for my 03TIVO, if you look carefully at the plug, you can stick a small screw driver into the wires where the little clips are, you apply pressure and slide the wire out of the plugs then feed the wire and clip it into the new plug,

  5. ahh post some pics of ya calipers ! as for exhaust not sure.. i just got a stock on mine, sounds alright with the CAI but, so not in a rush for any performance gains out of this car as of yet.. concentrating on sound atm, and looks.. she goes alright as is..

damn you daniel i want your CAI!! i was going to go for some chatty US brand for $100 lol dont feel like paying up to $400 AU

  6. tiet ! looking good, better pictures ASAP !

maybe you can come and lower my car some, i still got 2 finger gaps left xD

lol are you running on coilovers? or are we going to chop your springs?

    height.png

im running on super wagons as well :)

interesting stuff about the fronts not being able to go too low, thought it was just me lol

lol i guess you could get lower springs into the coilovers? would that work?

  7. You'll notice with the teins, the front spring on their lowest height setting, won't actually be as low as say king spring super low fronts whereas the rears can go quite low. I've always wondered why tein made them like that, but being tein, I'm sure they've put extensive r&d into them.

Also, when adjusting damping, make sure you don't go beyond 16 clicks from max hard (ie. anti clockwise). The install instructions/manuals specifically say going beyond that will cause damage to the coilover.

Good purchase by the way, they are a great street coilover.

yeah i was thinking because it takes consideration to the driver, maybe the extra weight with the engine and driver, it would make the front heavier and sink lower, so they kept it a few cm higher who knows lol.

yeah i didnt get the instructions with it, i wasn't to sure about the damper setting i know its 16 clicks but does it start from the right as in 1 and turning it anti clockwise (to the left) adjustes the damper to 16?

To adjust the damping, turn clockwise until you feel resistance where it won't click anymore (don't force it to click when you feel the resistance) - that will be the max hardest damping. From max hardest tamping turn anti-clockwise to soften the damping but don't go beyond 16 clicks anti-clockwise.

ahh i see yeah then we got it set up right thanks for that

  10. Pull the disc off and check that your handbrake shoes aren't worn out. Due to the nature of them being leading and trailing type setup, this may be the reason you hear the noise in one direction and not the other

    ~Josh

yeah my friend said it could be something about the handbrake inside the disc, that it maybe worn out or tangled?

if we have the time, we will be looking at it tomorrow :)

    thanks for that josh

  11. lol will get better pics soon :) have to re-adjust the fronts first, its like a inch higher, had to put the wheels on to see what height it was at, then i was lazy to jack the car back up, take the wheel off to re-adjust it (well my friend was, since he did most of the work)

  12. Aww Anthony how much you pick up your coil overs for? :(

lol got them for 650 daniel but second hand :)

Aww Anthony how much you pick up your coil overs for? :(

  13. 1. Remove the 2 child restraint anchors & inner boot sill (2 bolts).

    2. Unscrew the 2 plastic cubby holders under the carpet (4 nuts).

    3. Fold the rear seats forward and remove the 2 bolts on the bolsters.

    4. Slide the side bolsters up to remove, and then undo the 2 bolts at the bottom.

    5. Carefully unpop the clips holding the trim in place.

    6. Observe how the seatbelt feeds through the top part of the trim before removing!!!

    7. Wiggle/snake out the trim and be careful no part of them is caught or trapped.

    8. Reverse procedure to replace.

NB: The child restraint anchor threads are easily overtightened and stripped...

    Gav.

lol thanks thats perfect, it would own with pictures, but i should be able to figure it out with those steps :),

    thanks chicaboo
