  2. Also remember that this is the R&D Track for DJR (***** Johnson Racing) so V8 race cars are flying around that track more often than not.

I personally have been to this track with DJR on a truly eye opening experiance driving a V8 race car @ 200+ K/hr.......

  3. Before anyone orders their intake kit, I know someone producing new intake kits for our rollas in the next few days. It will be considerably cheaper than the other brands. I will let u guys know how much it would cost within a week if u guys can wait that long.

    Cheers

dont forget pics and BEFORE AND AFTER dyno sheets

as without the gains I dare say you might not sell too many

  4. Which was there first the track or the house?????

This REALLY annoys me! ppl are worried about the youth of today and how'computer' games are supposedly teaching teenagers to be invulnerable on the roads, having uber l33t driving skills and being able to handle high powered cars.

Darlington Park and other areas create a safe environment for theses teenagers to be shown HOW DANGEROUS cars can be if you dont know what you are doing, and that even in a good car...if you dont know how to use it....... YOU HAVE NO CHANCE!!!

Then someone comes along because they cant hear their George Michal DVD playing whilst they do their vaccuuming in their fishnets and highheels because 'THOSE DAMN KIDS ARE LEARNING TO BE SAFE AGAIN!'

And Mark has Darlington to thank for his rise to fame as 'did you see that rolla that went into the drink!?'

  5. if your installing it from the wires behind the instrument clutster then use the following wires

    red/blue - 12V +ve

    brown - earth or -ve

    black - tacho signal

WARNING if you are using the recall tacho (like myself) you will need a line amplifier on the tacho line to make it work porperly.

If you are just using the standard dual stage shift light (purple case with orange and red lights) then you wont need an amplifier - UNLESS you are also running an apexi RSM/SAFC or anything else that uses the tacho line.

also please post in the right areas (this should be in inside/out)

FORGOT TO MENTION - the line amplifier is only for the GIZZMO shift lights. I am not aware of any other RSM/shift light combo that has come accross this issue.

  6. the airbox will more than likely still be cool which it should but the heatshield stops the manifold itself from absorbing heat from the engine. so even though the airbox will be cols and the air inside it. when it is sucked into the heated manifold it will warm a few degrees ;)

  7. The other night (thursday) I decided to go for a bit of a drive with a mate.

To cut a long story short we racked up a few K's over the 2 hours city and highway driving and a mountain run.

When I got home I thought I'd lift the bonnet to let the engine cool.

The usual temperature was radiating from the head of the engine (damn bloody hot) but to my amazement the intake manifold was 'ice' cold.

Normally the manifold has some heat in it. But due to it being a cold night @ 10 degrees and maybe even a combination with the cooling panels. I was absolutley shocked and amazed. The TRD CAI was also ice cold to the touch (which it should be)

just thought someone might like to know

  8. Hey all you bros that have an RSM.

I need to find out how come my power output (the big number) doesn't change and the little number (bottom left) is really really low, like 2 ps even when i'm going 70 km/h

this feature doesnt work without the g-sensor ......I think???

  9. I think steve is looking at introducing a bronze membership as well ?? Is that right steve?

Which will cost less but give you some pretty cool features ;)

It's more about giving something back to Steve, Matt and the other who provide this site for us to talk and learn about our beloved cars. If it wasnt for them I wouldnt have met some of the freinds that I have today :D
