I put my new beast in for its 1000 this morning. We almost had to get a 2nd piece of paper to write down all of the things i wanted them to look at - gear cable noise - braking noise - oil chane to synthetic - reverse noise (beep...beep...beep) - rattle in dash over 4000 RPM - left rear access to tail light not 100% fit - rattle near gearbox at idle or deceleration - fitting of rear skirt - fitting of sports grill All sound fairly minor and will hopefully be resolved today :)

E-gene - WOW.....a 2nd battery for the car hey ;).....that sounds strange. I got the unit setup so that it works off the Accesories, so the key must be in and turned before the unit will activate. Orrock - not sure about that one mate

Got the unit installed yesterday. It was the Nokia unit that Nikich was talking about that plugged into the cigarete lighter. All we did was hard wire it behind the dash and have the cable from the unit come in through the back of the top drawer, and the mic up the A pillar. I works very well and the there is nothing you can see bar the small microphone. Am very happy with the unit :D

Rollin - I dont know about Sydney but mine is getting done tomorrow by MEP FILMS. It is the sister company for Tint-A-Car. Their tint was the darkest colour of all the ones that i looked at. BUT, it was still 35% and legal :)

Zee - I am getting my 1000 K this friday (clicked over the 1000 today) and I will be asking them to change the oil for me.

i c ..... i c I still dont like the idea of the phone hangnig out.... I dont like to spoil the gorgeous styling and looks of the interior :P

Just got back from having a chat to the guys at Northfield. From what I heard those radio things are ok but not great!! I have booked it in for Wednesday to get a new Nokia kit put in. It has the standard mic which sits up the top of the A pillar and it has a speaker which can be fitted out of site under the dash then a cable simply comes into the back of the console and plugs straight into the phone :D I keep me phone in the drawer above the ash tray so it will work well i think. all i do is open the door and hit a button and im talking :) I dont like the idea of a cradle or anything else that covers in the dash. especialy if it has to be drilled into :(

Has anyone got or seen those new little hands free kits that clip onto your phone and they transmit through to a certain radio frequency in the car ??? I need a hands free now that i have the manual (falcon is auto) and I saw these little things at the motor show but didnt have a real good look at them. Any info would be great :D

ZEE - Dont thrash your gearbox too early on the Stivo. I have talked to a few guys of late in regards to my new ride and the word from JPN is that if you trash the gearbox too early you will have issues. But if you run it in well it will be as strong as an Ox after about 1000-1500 K's Yes you will have troubles getting it out of lift in 1st and down to 2nd. I had troubles the first day with that on mine, but i just left it alone. I have managed a few times to get it out of lift in 1st to 2nd but i guess I have been luky. If your going to play around with lift in the first 1000 K's do it from 2nd onwards my friend ;) It's like a new Girly Friend....treat her nice the first week or so ...then she will let you do anything to her after that!!!! :P :P :P

Guys There are some brand new wheels coming out of Australia called RJR (Rodney Jane Racing) the Son of Bob Jane from Bob Jane Tmarts. He has a really good selection of wheels and they are moderatly priced. You should go check them out !!! I'm going in Monday to look at the RJR Action which are a 5 spoke gold rim ...look similar to the TRD rims. ill see if i can get a photo for you guys ;)

Thx for all the well wishes guys :D It's been a great last few days with the new ride. Have taken a couple of mates for spins and they have all been more than impressed :P Lucio - yeah mate running it in hard has proven to be good. yesterday it was raining all day ...hitting lift in 2nd in a straight line makes the wheels spin ......so i found out :P Have clocked up over 500 K's so far ...and with today and tomorrow looking good...its off for some more rides. THIS IS SUCH A GREAT CAR TO DRIVE!!!!!!!!

Mine are on the way hopefully soon. The grill and rear skirt get fitted nest week. So did you glue these ones on again influx? or you use something else? Shaohaok used the 3M doublesided tape...holds well Looks very nice though influx......

Well I Got my Stivo 2 days EARLY!!!!! I called up yesterday and was talking about the rear skirt and the dealer said " oh you car just got rolled into the showroom" I was like ...WHAT!!???¿¿ I'll be there in 1 hour to pick it up....BEPP ....BEEP So I took the train down to the dealership and picked it up !!! YIPPIE!!!! Hit lift from the first set of lights back infront of the dealership and gave them a wave goodbye :) Have run the engine in fairly normal/hard so far have hit lift at least 10 times and gone to 160 so far...along with alot of normal and slow driving also...but never keeping the revs constant for too long :)

Ilivfor6 - You an Peekay34 are both from Melbourne arent you?? If so i think i know which go faster bits you might have gotten......hehehehe i was just talking to you know who ordering some parts for myself ;) and he mentioned them :P

Guys, As wheels are one of the 'main' asthetic' enhancements that us as car owners are to do to our cars. I thought it would be nice for existing buyers and new buyers alike to post a few pics/links to wheels that they have on their ride or are planning on getting. I think it would be good so that we can all see what colours/styles go well with the Stivo or not. Now please dont flame...because everyone has different tastes. and something someone else likesmay not be to you particular liking. ATT: Danz + Influx - I really like your rims could you both let me know what you run ???

Just got the update from the dealer I'll be picking it up on Friday afternoon at 2.00 pm....and then lift will comence asap :D I have also arranged with work to take friday, monday and tuesday off so I can cruise for 5 days....i might do a quick run down to some of you guys in sydney and melbourne :P 3 sleeps to go .....YAHOO!!!!!!

Zee - It's an 04, I asked for a 04 plated vehicle as a must. I will let you know the exact build though when i have a look myself :) ill - thx mate if i dont there is something wrong with me!! :P qkslvr - Damn mate i couldn't have waited that long :( ...fortunatley i payed cash...less hassle

Just got the call from the Dealership. They have recived my Stivo :D Now they said that it would be ready by Friday afternoon, and as usual I said no, I want it Wednesday Afternoon. We are only waiting on Ming to do the paint protection and the under chassis rubber thingy. Hope fully they can get it all done for Thursday but they will let me know in an hour or so :) It's booked in Tuesday next week for the window tinting, and later that week im in the tyre shop to see whats i want to get :) So here starts the countdown......

All of these issues that people are having resolved or not. Are they all on 03 models or are any of them occuring on 04 models??? E-gene is the latest buyer and he got an 03 didnt he??
