did you find that the switch was not 100% in fitment that the actual switch part need to be shaved a bit so it wouldn't get stuck and black texa drawn on the side so the cream abs wasn't showing?

Just a little advice to people that are going to do this conversion yourself, becareful of the clutch spring in between the stalk and the steering wheel. The thing has a 5 turn lock to lock, it felt like it just keeps turning, anyways, the thing is $476.30 to replace and I am replacing it today.

how hard was it to take of colon cover of the steering wheel as i want to use original wiring for fog light that are allready there and tap of the steering colon

I have the same problem with windows fogging up internally.

I have only every had this issue with the aurion and no other car i have ever owned.

Like Dj said either crack your window slighly open or just crack your heater on slow

I installed mine today,

I ended up buy a 6 sensor parking sensors with 2.5inch lcd screen - 2 sensors up front and 4 sensors at the back.

the front park you will actually see where the hole are meant to be hole sawed from the inside which made my job easy.

the rear ones i got my self 40mm masking tape and followed the curve of the bumper they look sweet

I will take some snap shots next week great part about it they were white so no painting.

People can already buy them for cheap as off eBay, why would you need to organise a group buy?

As Daryl has said, if you have projector lenses go with 6000k. If you have reflectors, go with 4300k (both in 35w).

That what was getting 6000k @ 35watts.

yes you can get cheap analog was going for the digital what kills you is the postage.

my target is to try get them for 430 to $40 landed in oz

I don't know. I also noticed the same case with the Caribbean Blue (when it was available), in that the Sportivo's always had a darker shade. May have been the way Toyota prepared the paint for Sportivo. Who knows. It's definitely noticeable when you have an AT-X and a Sportivo parked together. Could just be some trick of the eyes.

Who knows daryl as you say tricks of the eye's with the sportivo having greater black shade pieces and diffrent curves.

car wash and wax does change shades specially meguires NXT shades your car darker slighly

anyway back on topic anyone colour coded there eye lids :D

If anyone has stuck theirs on without painting them... just one word of warning. DO NOT get any wax on it. Once it gets marked with wax, it will leave a mark on it that doesn't go away. When I first got my grill, I put it on without painting. Two weeks later (after the accident), I waxed my car, slipped a bit and got wax on the grill. Left a smudge on it and it didn't go away. Next day I took the grill off and painted it flat black. Seems to be more resistant to waxing accidents now.

I had already learnt my lesson with the grill, hence why the eyelids were painted.

Despite being the same colour code, that is one thing I've noticed with the non-Sportivo Wildfire. On the AT-X and the Prodigy, the Wildfire seems to be a slightly brighter shade of red. I'm not really sure why that is the case though. Same goes for the Wildfire used on the Camry.

Mine have been colour coded to the grill. In other words, despite already being black to start with, I still pained over it again with flat black. I don't know about everyone else, but I reckon mine is better as black.

Drive more cautiously. You always need to make trade-offs. Leaving it stock height helps, but doesn't look as good as when lowered.

I can tell you now that almost all kits will lower your front quite a bit.

Unless you go with the thai show room v1 kit which has minimal drop.

also like dj said carefull driving and angle driving.

yeah i was looking at the gap also...Daryl yours do look different,it seems like ya have a rubber or whatever it's made of ring in the place where the gap is on the aftermarket jobbies...

maybe factory build took into affect the amount of vibration thru the front bar and added something...

From the Toyota parts diagrams it appears that there's a piece that goes between the shroud and the actual lamp..

It appears to be part of the fog shrouds:

52030-06030 (RH)

32040-06030 (LH)

I checked with toyota today there is no part inbetween the front panel and fog light.

Morning guys,

Sorry, just need to vent. For some reason, it seems to help.

I've lived in a house in blacktown for the last 6 months and up until now, never had a problem. Last night around 10:30 I was alerted to some trouble starting by the sound of banging, which I identified as about 6 teenagers kicking up my colourbond fence. I called the police as they were making a lot of noise (and what later turned out to be graffiti) and had police attendance within about 5 minutes but unfortunately they had already moved on.

About 45 minutes later I was alerted by the same banging, yelling and so forth... I looked out the window but at this point, there was no way I was going outside as there was around 30 of the little mongrals... This time, they decided to this time they wanted to leave a lasting impression on me by throwing beer bottles at my Aurion, resulting in a damaged A pillar and the car being covered in glass (I can't tell how much damage there is to the paint as the car is still wet from not being put in last night)

To my frustration, it took the police 3 hours to make an appearance the second time around and only then it was because we'd given up on them coming out and called the station to make sure they were coming (so we could at least get a police report for insurance purposes out of it) - I called my insurance company this morning and confirmed that if I make a claim, I've got to pay the excess (not to mention higher premiums for years to come too) so I'll have to compare the cost of that to the cost of fixing the car out of my own pocket.

Really disappointed that this is how my babys 60,000km birthday ended. :(

Sorry to hear that i feel for you had friend that had similar problem - unforunately thats what happen when cops are called they come back and cause more problems.

my mate had problems for futhur 6 months after that till the day he found out who they were and where they hanged out - I say no more.

Also I would be logging complaint to as why it took 3hrs for cops to arrive when there were 30 youths ouside your place casuing dmage that is not acceptable and would be definately following it up that would of had been a priority on police call out.

Saw this on ebay, think it is from the same guy that is selling the fog lights in the forum, the pictures also shows gap in the fog lights..
