And btw glad to have a twin in Victoria :D
Hey Camry Monogamist,
WOW!!! what a finish!!! I havent been on the forum for a very long time!! Gota admit a very nice look, I am copying your black spoiler Idea ;) and rear bumper.
Haha Twins... Glad ya diggin the almost mirror image and yeah go on and do the black rear spoiler n bumber... I'll assume you'll keep it matte. Last few days getting tempted by the suspension devil and thinkin about lowering but just worried about any negative effects it might have. Beamster on here looks great after bein dropped.

I wish I had the patience and cash to do the JBL now but i think it'll hurt my brain.

Hey Glen,
I just had to educate myself by stalking these and other forums to get wheels for my 2013 Atara,,, If youre looking at wheels online then i wouldnt be worried about offset as much as finding wheels that are a 114.3 PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) which will suit the Altise - Most of the wheels youll find with that PCD will suit your car.
I ended up going through an ebay seller as the costs here are jacked up - i got my 2013 Enkei Kojins in 18x8 for $1400 shipped under a week from California - i havent seen any sites in Australia even stocking the wheels so i probably would have paid a ridiculous amount if i sourced them from here. The ebay seller was a great communicator and was well aware of the tax at customs that gets applied to purchases over 1K - So he invoices the wheels under cost to avoid it.
You can google the seller called Cozy Styles.

Doesn't some of the new SX come with JBLs?
I thought only the SL came with the JBL package - I enquired on getting a JBL upgrade for my S but no go.
-
Ive used the US site a fair bit for ideas and info - Theres also a 96 pages of thread on the same site under 'What did you do to your
gen 7 camry today' which is pretty interesting too.
-
Hey Beamster - Nice job on the mods the lowering makes a great difference. Could u let us know costs for that? Also if u could, throw up a direct link to your Audio/GPS.
And just a random question - Do you find the horn sounds a lil feminine, or is that just me?

If I may ask how much did the roof cost to get carbon fibered?
Good to hear ya enjoy the look. The roof isnt carbon fibre wrap its 3M Gloss Black 1080 Series installed by a 3M certified installer
listed on the 3M website... He wrapped the rear lip and bumper too. It would have been $300 just for the roof but all three cost me
$400.

Full details/pics will be good.

Nice work 50. Does that manual come with the car or is it something u bought separate?
-
Looks good from this pic man, so u put it on yourself? If i did a roof wrap itd have
to be professional, i aint got those type of skills.
-
Yo 50! Get the pic with roof wrap up alreadyyyy hehe. Also considering this product for my head/tail lights... Anyone know anything about it?
-
Since the white look bulbs are easier n cheaper i think ill be goin that
route and yeah yellow light makes me wanna vomit. 50 - Do ya know what
the bulb fittings are for low and high beam and also for the fog lights? Also get some pics up of the atara with ya black roof in the other thread :-)
-
H11 bulbs in the US model.
-
Lookin good even without the roof wrap. Too many questions now...
How much u pay for roof wrap. do it yourself or prvt?
Source tinted bonnet protector from ebay or where?
Have to make guard adjustments to fit 20s? How ruff did the ride
become afterwards.
Can ya post atleast one non photoshopped pic?
Cheers.
-
50UNIQ!!! Thank you mannnn. Look fwd to it, hasnt puttin 20s on
Effected your car warranty? or didnt ask? Not worried?
-
Wouldnt a carbon fibre look still make it dual colour... i was figuring that there are a few black accents so why not black wing too? id like to smoke the rear lights too eventually.
-
L/H rear door colour is different to the rest of the car.
I dont see anything youre on about... i see shadows thats it... either way... fair bit off topic.
-
The rear door colour is kinda off....
Which rear door?
-
That's actually called a wing lol. anyway for it i'd say go the same colour as the body.
For the lower lips, you coudl leave them grey or uppainted.
Yeah im not what you would call a revhead, as verified by a camry purchase...
but they call it a lip on the toyota website, so ill go with that for now http://www.toyota.com.au/camry/accessories#item-camry_accessories-tab-1-rear_spoiler_lip
i was thinking this sorta style...
-
Yeah aem boot spoiler.
Bathu the 2012/13 style aurion sportivo is nice except for those plastic panels
at the fog lights and the whole ***** of the car has questionable looks imo.
-
Hey All,
Just about the order a new Atara S, after considering Aurion etc. Basically convinced the Crystal Pearl colour will be a nice option,
though Diamond White is also available but is non-metallic. Probably also getting a moonroof extra and also an OEM rear lip which i was thinking of painting black. So, moonroof, standard black grills in front spoiler, black number plates and eventually black wheels... Anyone think the black lip would look out of place?
Any thoughts or suggestions will be much appreciated.
:D

Keeping it goin - Sunday is a good day for debadging. Just going for a cleaner look and theres quite a few badges on the rear of this model. Watched a few youtube videos before proceeding. The car is only a couple of months old so i guess it helped with how unbelievably easy this process was - if only all things i wanted to do to my car were so simple.
Here's what the badging looked like at the start:
First thing i did was to clean the badged area with Meguiars Quick Detailer - Then using the wifes hair dyer i applied heat on the badges for about a minute or so not too close and i wiggled the badges as i went along.
After the badges seemed loose enough (they actually had a little give in them even before the hair dryer) i used fishing wire to remove the badges by going back and forth in a sawing motion.
After removing the badges i was left with the remaing sticker / glue - which looks like this.
I picked off any large parts of sticker / glue, which was very easy, various forums / videos talk about the use of razors and other various ways to clean it up. I bought an adhesive cleaner and simply wiped it up with some absorbent paper towel. If your car is new then i cant imagine anyone having any issues with the sticker / glue clean up. Here's the spray is bought, about $25 a can, there's probably alot of other options but i really like how strong it is without leaving residue. But i still cleaned the area again with the quick detailer hehe.
This is what the area looked like afterwards.
No more badges.
For me personally, its a much cleaner look and like the rest of the car ive gone for a simple look which is now mirror by the rear. Don't know if i should remove the Toyota emblems and possibly plasti-dip them then re-apply them??? Hahaha.
