  1. Hey guys, Here's some photoshopped photos I took of the stivo the other day. Enjoy! more to come... Cheers,
  2. Welcome guys :) like the both of you, i'm relatively new as well. Only picked up my stivo a week ago :) besides a burnt HID bulb, she's been good to me! and yeah, chuck in a CAI and exhaust with some nice coilovers, and it makes a world of difference. I use to own a 2001 Celica ZR and the stivo, I must say, handles and goes better. You guys should come to the meet this Sunday at Auburn, I'll be coming too. Gives us all a chance to meet.
  3. Hey guys, I have a set of cusco zero 2 coilovers installed in my car. I'm finding the ride a little too uncomfortable, especially considering a lot of the roads near me are full of potholes. The driveway to the garage at work is also scraping my front lip :\. I'm looking at raising the ride height to make life a little easier. I have no idea as to how to do this though. Can you guys provide me with some instructions? or recommend a workshop in Sydney that can do this for me? Thanks,
  4. What a relief. Thanks for confirming this for me guys :) Cheers.
  5. Hey guys, I know this may seem like a dumb question, but I thought I should ask it anyway. When I first start the engine, both the oil pressure and oil level lights in the dash will come on.. but will then turn off one or two seconds afterwards. Is this normal? Daz told me that it's just the stivo doing a systems check. The lights don't come on at all during driving or idling... so I'm inclined to think it is just a routine check. Just want to make sure though. Cheers.
  6. Yeah I might give that a go tonight. Problem is - I'm not sure where to disconnect the bulb from? I had a look at it on the weekend and the bulb's connected to a metal cylinder. Can the bulb be removed from the cylinder? or am I suppose to connect the wiring from the ballast itself? Is the bulb type for the stivo '05 low beam H7? they're $120 a pair from Musecret.
  7. Hey guys, My left low-beam has stopped working! it's a GT HID kit. Around 4 years old now. I'm unsure as to whether the bulb itself has burnt out or whether its a problem with the ballast or the wiring. I had a look at the bulb itself - can't really tell if there's any disconnections with the filament. The autoparts store says that a replacement bulb costs around 180 bucks. Mu Secret are selling it for 160. Obviously don't wanna fork out that much money if it's just a wiring issue. I'm yet to try the bulb with the other ballast to see if it actually is a burnt bulb. Do you guys have any experience with these GT HID kits? whats the expected lifespan of the bulbs? how do you remove the bulb itself for replacement? any advice would be great guys. Thanks
  8. Hey guys, As promised, here are some pics of the car - nothing amazing, just abit of fooling around with photoshop. Enjoy
  9. Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Will definately be at the meet. Live only a couple of suburbs away so will be a sinch to get to. I'd love to see what sorta mods you guys have done to your stivo's - perhaps get some ideas for my own. One of my HID bulbs have burnt out! I'm not sure if it may be an electrical problem, I'll have to play around with the wiring... or might just take it to GT HID so they can have a look. Only had the car for a couple of days and there's already something wrong. hahaha at least it's not mechanical. I went to an autoparts store to ask for a quote to replace the bulb... he said $200! gawh.. might as well buy a new kit! The stock wheels.. whilst good in its own right, just isn't doing it for me. A set of black or bronze rims would be nice. Any local resellers that you guys can recommend? Thanks levinboy! I was actually looking at both the DC5R and stivo... But I believe I've made the right choice :) These are definately at the top of my list! just need to find the right size and price...
  10. Hey there fellow rolla/stivo enthusiasts, Just thought I'd intro myself to the forum. Just bought Daz's white '05 stivo yesterday, damn she's a beaut. I use to own a 7th Gen Celica until it was totalled by some lady who refused to obey stop signs... experiencing the lift again really hit the spot :) Would love to join you guys in the Syd rolla' meets. When and where do these happen? I'm a bit of a photography and photoshop geek so hopefully I'll have some nice shots of the stivo up here soon. Future projects on the rolla? --- sparco sports pedals, and some 17" light weight alloys (not sure which brand yet, any suggestions?), and a vvti controller. Cheers guys, Dave. :P
  11. Camcon is a fuel and vvti controller I am able to add or remove fuel every 500 rpm and advance the vvti cam every 500rpm (Not the lift changeover) I asked one of the guys over at 'autojoy' in Parra whether the camcon would work on corolla sportivos - he goes "only for the sportivos made in Japan, they don't work for the ones made in SA". They tried installing one once, didn't work. Shows how much they know... So it would work for an 05 sportivo?
