  1. Which wheels & tyres did ya order and when they due?

Ordered the wheel package from Tempe, the Lenso blacks wheel with red stripe, still like that better.. 19".. the package comes with kumho KU31 tyres.. have to go with the 245/40/19 to get the rite loading as the 245/35/19 ones are with a lower loading.. average tyres... but the price is alrite and i am happy with the package.. now just hope that if i lowered it .. will not scrup..

it will only scrub if the car was lowered excessively or the rim itself has too much + offset

nonetheless i think you will be very tempted to lower it (at least down to the stock trd ride height)

each to their own black wheels have a very JDM look/feel about them therefore it needs to have a 'sporty' suspension to achieve that look...

  2. i am also getting the squeaky rattles from the left hand twitter panel under the windscreen and if the roads are really bad, the right one also tends to rattle.

it a relief to hear that le mans at footscrap acknowledge this problem because i too are very wary about bringing cars to dealers to fix problems

luckily my car is still under warranty so hopefully i can get it done without ensuing major dramas.

how long does it take to fix this problem, couple of hours? it's the only car we've got so having no spare car to use is a major inconvenience for us..

  3. i could have a field day with cliches here lol (horses for courses, whatever floats your boat, each to their own bla bla)

if you're simply looking for opinions to help you 'narrow down' your options, then you'll end up with 101 different varieties and at the end of the day, ultimately you still have to make your own choice...

at the end of the day it all comes down to what sort of look you want to achieve for your car (VIP? JDM/Track racer? DUB? Bankstown Bling?)

but strictly speaking (without sounding bias as I have a white aurion too):

black mesh grill or chrome grill <-------- CHROME GRILL FOR SURE

painting the lip and area around the fog lights white <-------- DON'T

chrome wheels or black wheels <-------- NEITHER

bodykit or no bodykit <-------- YES, BUT A SUBTLE ONE

personally i really dig the VIP look, i used to be a huge JDM fan with a fetish for carbonfibre (and to a degree i still am) but i suppose life doesn't always need to be on the fast lane ;-)

  4. Hi, can anyone help me on this issue, i enquire about the wheels and the tyres that come with the wheels are 245/40/R19 98Y, so will 245/40 fit? cos from what others are having in their cars with 20" it is usually 245/30 or 245/35.. but if it is 19" will 245/40 fits?

hmmm someone correct me if i'm wrong but for some reason i thought the TRD Aurion uses 245/35's on its 19's (which is why i'm still undecided on what rims to get for my Prodigy), so although 245/40 may fit on your pref'd 19" wheels, the overall rolling diameter will be slightly larger hence affecting the accuracy of your speedo...

  5. Hey guys, my neighbour's car just got broken into couple of nights ago (she also drives an Aurion) and it got me thinking, does anybody have aftermarket/OEM alarms fitted to their car?

I was considering the Auspack DVD player to replace my stockie in the Prodigy but with recent theft in my area, I figured it would be worthwhile getting some extra security first - any suggestions?

  6. i'm still deciding on which wheels to get for my aurion at this stage but one thing i'm not sure about is the tyre choice...

it's been a while since i've been into the game so i'm basically out of touch with the tyre ranges nowadays, so can anybody give recommendations on which tyre that are very quiet to run on?

i'm not really into any sporty cornering grip performance etc out of the aurion, i just want a smooth quiet ride that has decent grip in wet or dry (i'd expect something similar if not slightly better than the TRD Aurions)

also what is the price range for tyres on the aurion nowadays (for 19" and 20" wheels?)

I think somebody once told me Kumho and Hankook are very good tyres for big wheels, but apparently they are relatively on the 'high-ish' side...

Can anybody recommend which ones are good value and/or which ones to avoid at all costs??

  7. Them new pics are awesome bro, how you keep your walls so clean LoL

The wheels look so much bigger when you can see the whole white wall, my front rims look heaps bigger then my rears cos how my rear tucks in :(

How wide and what offset are your rims and what size tyre you runnin there?

thanks dude! mate they look clean in the photos but they arnt actually there are going off colour pretty bad....ive tried cleaning them but it just doesnt happen.

yeh mine are the opposite they look small as on the front and massive on the back like in this photo:

    25f2jdc.jpg

im running 20x8.5's and 42 offset, with a 245/30 tire.....i need the rear guard pumped (or get rid of these fagg0t springs) cos ive been hittin the actual rim on the guard and even when it hits the tires the fukin blue paint goes all over my white walls and i cant get the sh|t...stupid springs!!

Just when i was about to ask how well are u with the rear being so low like that...

But u cant deny it.. When it actually hit the guard... it has the best look for ur car.

    Get it cambered.. orrr...

    Get airbags...!! =D

if i was in your position, i'd get the guards pumped

otherwise i'd get it cambered - both should be much cheaper than getting airbags!

  8. Finally got some good weather for me to wash my car it was filth but I only get weekends in winter to do anything.

i washed the car i think i need to give it clay and wax again.

but here is my car lowered.

mate i reckon it would look perfect if you shaved off at least another 10mm from the front, but other than that it looks sensational! =)

may i ask what is the height of the kings springs that you've got fitted atm? (are they the yellows or reds?)

  9. May I also mention

I have found about 10 suppliers thai & malaysia/singapour and china that do kits

they may have similar kits not all the same either some PU other fiber glass or abs.

also wald kits 4 diffrent variantions look very similar but have closer look and all is revealed.

kits begin from AUD$200 to AUD$700 then + postage extra which is the killer part

hey mate do you have more details ie local supplier contact/phone?

i'm interested in the showroom v1/v2 front lip but i'd also like to see what variations are available for the Wald kits... thx!

  10. Thanks SB. Much appreciated!

we'll have a good chat on the phone soon mate... i'm just a bit flat out with Life at the moment.

As far as parking at the meet and Greet, the car park is pretty self explanitory.

    TOCAU%20MEET%20POINT.JPG

we fill the middle section first, then start on the sides.

    just curious =)

do we actually have any permit from TMCA themselves for using their compound for this gathering..?
