  1. Most likely Fujitsu Ten manufactured. I wouldn't be expecting much out of stock speakers. Usually they are around the vicinity of 10-15 watts RMS. Cheap paper cone construction, not much in terms of voice coil and magnet. Details of the speakers aren't of much use.

Probably no different in quality compared to a $15 pair of speakers from a car audio shop.

    Thanks for that...

Just wondering, since I do not wan't to put a subwoofer in my car, as one day I may have to change wheels, and can't be bothered, with taking the sub out just to get to the wheel, is there any cheap alternative's to the stock audio in the car? I assume the front's are 6' and teh rears are 6x9's, the tweeter that comes with the car are IMO quite good, seeing as they really kill my ears, when I made my headunit only push out freq's above 8000K...

  2. Hey All,

Just wondering what are the spec's on the Stock Corolla's Audio System?

I have found that the low freq's are quite good, however, if I bump the volume up on the aftermarket headunit a bit high, the low's turn into farting low's... and kinda suck...

I just wanted to know what is the brand of these speakers, and what are the specification's on these?

  3. Hey All,

I've currently got my amp running at roughly about 11v, which I quickly stopped using, as 11v is too low to be safe, so I was just wondering, where in Melbourne can I get a HighOutput Alternator?

I have no intentions on adding a second battery, as the 08 Corolla is already small as it is, I need space.

    Thanks All.

  4. Hi all,

This may sound like a very silly question, but the mp3/cd player in my 2008 corolla has decided to eat a cd and refuses to eject the item in question no matter how many times the eject button is pressed.

Hey, this happened to me quite a few times, back with the old headunit. I usually just leave my car off for like a minute or two, then it will eject when I press eject. I never got around to asking forum's about this, because I usually just waited for the car to be nice to me.

  5. Spotted, an Aurion (I think it was black) you where doing AT LEAST! 130+KM/h outbound from West Gate Bridge...

We were side by side at one stage, but I couldn't see inside...

I went onto Western Ring, you kept in the far Right Lane and zoomed straight to the Princess Freeway...

    Around 11-11:30PM

I'm the Red P Plater, that over took you at one stage because you were stuck behind a car doing the limit (80KM/h)...

  6. I was behind you, trying to floor it. You drive so damn quick...

I was the Red P Plater, behind you almost the whole time, I turned off at Hyde Street :) I hooned it down that street... but couldn't see your car in the passing streets...

not cool, mate, not cool at all.

It was night time, 2:20 at least, normally those streets have no one.

I hope mine counts... I know there's a Honda in the middle, but that's iDK crew car can't kill the Honda...

The other Corolla Hatch, is my mates, he isn't on this forum.

& plus, it could probably get edited out right?

  8. Spotted:

    White Echo Sedan, with Rims.

Plate number was 'ECOECO', not sure if on this forum, but saw ya fly past me on the entrance to West Gate Bridge, you got off at Williamstown Road at 2:14AM-2:20AM you took a Left turn at Francis Street, I was behind you, trying to floor it. You drive so damn quick...

I was the Red P Plater, behind you almost the whole time, I turned off at Hyde Street :) I hooned it down that street... but couldn't see your car in the passing streets...

  9. I get a loud THUMP, when driving the car hard, normally if I press the clutch quick...

Thats the problem its your driving style I think, the thump you are hearing is when your drive train loads up...

    I could be wrong though....

Its like flat shifting, you will hear that bump, or wheelspin :D

Humm, their is no wheelspin though...

  10. start by looking carefully at the engine mounts, especially the front & rear ones. they commonly split and allow excess movement. we sell hundreds of toyota mounts at my work , including specially up-rated ones for performance Toyotas. If your car is stock, then all its might need are stock replacements. check it out and let me know if I can help

    terry

Honestly, I ain't sure about half the things in my cars engine. Also, I have no idea where mounts are located.

  11. Hey all,

I get a loud THUMP, when driving the car hard, normally if I press the clutch quick, there is a THUMP noise, and shifting into 2nd is like... weightless, 2nd to 3rd makes that same noise, just a very very faint thump...

I was just wondering, if this thump is really bad?

Normally, only happens louder near the Peak Torque range (4400-5000) but I can still reproduce the same thumping at nearly any REV range, in 1st gear.

I'm assuming, it's because I'm pushing in the clutch to quickly, and to strong...

If you need a video of what I mean, please ask.

edit: happens in either, a cold engine or hot engine, as stated above I can reproduce this noise, at any REV, and well any time I'm guessing... the engine is 100% stock, the car is 100% standard.

  12. Well, I usually fend of Tailgaters, just by ****** them off, the more they tail gate the more i drive lesser than the Speed Limit, then when they go to over take, I try and match their speed... (Obviously, they will rage) which is why I have a audio system, so when they come by, all they hear is THUMP THUMP THUMP :)

Yeah, I know I'm a guy with lots of stupid idea's, but I swear at the time, it is always the best thinking.

Also, since my mates also have family silver car's, we usually, just take on the first person to cut one of us off, like this one time, a Taxi was meant to go straight, because he was on the right lane, instead he turned left, in front of me, at the traffic lights, so me and the other two silver cars, just boxed this taxi, and brought him down to 40K/M on a 80K/M road :) it was funny, and Yes I was in the front, but luckily, before we boxed him in, I had my plate number covered :) (It was covered because we did some stupid **** before I got cut off)

  13. the Eonon for $250 maybe the way to go then not expensive and may last awhile.

did Eonon give a price for the unit if bought from them?

Yeah, 450 AUD if bought includes shipping...

edit: I think she said she can remove like 20 USD for me... so I think that means 320 USD, so 420 AUD...

    there is also this option

    http://www.ryda.com.au/JVC-KW-XG506-Car-CD...r-p/kwxg506.htm

Damn, I really want one with USB or DVD, so I don't have to keep burning MORE CD's, just to have more music :(

Thanks SO MUCH for helping me though.

Please help find one with USB?

  15. if you only want to listen to music you can pick up just single din units for quite reasonable prices i have also seen the Clarion dvd units for $499 at Autobarn. go to a few places tomorrow and have look check out the sound ec . I am sure you will find a better unit this way. Also you mught like to consider what else you plan on doing in the audio side.

Others on this forum know heaps more about audio. and will be able to help more.

Well, I ain't really doing anymore to my audio, I'm keeping my stock speakers & if there is any other extra speakers, I'm just gonna chuck them in the boot.

I'm replacing my headunit because the other one died on me...

And well, I don't really want a SINGLE DIN as I have to add a Din Pocket Filler Thingy... which I do not want...

I know I'm greedy for something, but I REALLY REALLY want a Double Din Headunit, that will be REALLY easy to install & I just contacted Eonon, and they said that the 1055, was SPECIALLY made for MY COROLLA, so no need for harness, or anything. Just take old plate out, then all good.

  16. here is one for $250

    http://firesport.com.au/eonon-7-lcd-in-das...t--ad133734.htm

but if you can afford more money and want awesome go for another brand that will last longer.

Eclipse avn 6000 i paid new $1199 with ipod adpator nav etc which is half the normal cost of these units So you may also be able to find one at this price now the newer model has come out. also check out this about the Eonon

Thanks, I guess they are a Hit or Miss type of product :(

Dammit, I really want one though, but don't want to go through the hassle of getting owned if it's f***ed up...

  17. im pretty sure he gets the idea that he should have kept that little story to himself -_-
