  1. Can i add my interest? I am still technically on my P's but it won't be long before i am off them...

Would i be able to partake in this? It seems like an excellent idea :D

    Evo

Last time I went to the gympie skid pan the instructor told us no P platers would be aloud. So we took off our P plates after turning off the main road, onto his private property.

  2. those are the exact LED s that i am getting.. when do you receive and install yours?

where did get your LEDs Evan, were they the same?

Turns out they're coming from Brisbane. I guess he bought them in bulk and is selling them in lots of 2.

Should be here Friday/Monday and I will install that night.

I'll post pics of installation and effect.

make sure u post ur results azza, keen to see how these go. are u changing the green light behind the central door lock switch?

Havn't even thought about that. I'll take a look.

  4. abit of delay receiving my LED bulbs

but also, does anyone know what type bulb is required to replace the light for the A/C + Hazard buttons? and cig lighter aswell...

    cheers

I unplugged zip tied out of the way my lighter light. It's smaller then t5 so meh.

I had a look at the lights behind ac and hazard buttons...Honestly it doesn't look like you can remove them!

    Stumped me.

  5. I am not 100% sure on this, but i believe that they maybe clipped in... i found this out one time when i put too much pressure on it, and it sorta 'unclipped'?

    Evo

You just yanked it out? Come on msn

  6. 1. Would you guys be willing to pay a little bit extra to have work done at a business where they specialise in Toyota-only engines?

Depends how much extra I guess...most like myself make enough money to be able to afford the peace of mind that their care is in good hands. So...YES!

    2. What sort of bolt-on products are people looking for that can be fabricated?

I'd love a place where you could go for the little things. Remove my badges and door strips? Supply and paint my trd grill? Blue console mod? The list goes on man

    3. Is there currently a place that does something similar? I know places well known for single engines (ie. Mercury Motorsport for 2JZ-GTE's, Road and Track for 4A-GE's, Bullet for 1UZ-FE's, etc), but none that specialise in the whole aspect of Toyota performance.

Of course, any other feedback is more than welcome :)

    3 - Dunno tbh

In conclusion if you made a place with a warm environment where I could go for information and work, by people who know my rolla and know what would improve it then you'd have my business every time.

  7. Alright fellas...stupid question time.

How do you remove the footrest (dead pedal) in a manual preface 1zz?

    cheers

Oh wow! That's an interesting question.

    I wonder if anyone knows?

  8. im looking around for LEDs myself, hoping to buy locally just in case of faults... will give you a reply when i get them

also another thing, your grille looks painted but obviously not matching the body colour.. are you getting it sprayed by a panel beater or DIY?

are you adding eye lids aswell?

Cheers, that's the colour that the grill was when it came out of the box. Its abs plastic so that might be the raw colour? Getting it sprayed by a scratch removalist when he gets back from holidays.

I already have the eye lids, getting them painted at the same time.

No point putting them on with double sided before they're painted so yeh.

  9. looks good azza....... wats next on the list?

Dropping it after my birthday (July 19th) and hopefully body kit.

top job on the I.C.E setup you've got there! especially that stealth switch

and by the way.. do i see one of those bulb sleeves? if so, did you attempt to do the LED console mod?

FYI don't make the mistake i did and use replacement sleeves, they're very ineffective.. just replace the bulbs entirely IMO

YEP! You guessed it. I saw some blue condom sleeves at supercheap for $3 and thought...hmmm...maybe.

FAIL! been looking for some blue leds plug and play...any advice?

    Hey Azza mate,

it seems you have the set-up the wrong way around... that switch that is hiding should be hoooked up to some serious Nitrous :P

Car looks good man B) coming along nicely... what is next for your car?

    Evo

NOS switch is under the dash, I installed the neons so I can see it!

Next is kingys + shocks and a body kit. Wanna sell urs to pay for that S/C?

    nice :toast: :toast:

Whats next after the stereo setup?

Stereo will be quite a while off...

I wanna drop her on some kybs and kingys first. Hopefully a body kit if i can find a decent price.

NICE... where did u get the switch from i been looking for a big switch like that hahaha :P

Found it on ebay. Seller lives just down the road from me.

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-ROCKET-MISSILE-...p3286.m20.l1116

NOTE: That one DOES NOT come with the led in the end of the actual switch.

You have to combin it with:

Its quite easy to do. Any questions feel free to pm me

    -Azza!

  10. You could also go to a scratch removal/smash repairer and ask them to colourcode your paint.

That way it'll match 100% - taking into consideration paint fade.

It'll cost a little bit more then your local toyota dealer but it'll match. Try and get the smash repairer to throw in a touch up pen or brush too.

In the end...is an extra 10 bucks not perfection?

  11. Nice one mate..Pioneer are good units,my last set up i had the DEH7850BT and paired it with Pioneer speakers TSC160R Yellow & TSD161S Yellow and a couple of Clarion amps and the 2 x 15'' Clarion subs (which are still for sale..) in my little Peugeot 306 and we clocked 148db peak at a sound test..

    p.s i miss the removable face... :)

Dude...nice set up. Where did you get the db reading?

  12. Nice one Azza...what audio ya got going on,in ya Rolla,i will try and guess, maybe an Alpine H/Unit,can't see in the pic no matter how large i make it...

and dose the console lid cover everything aka stealth... ;)

Yeh bro the lid closes perfectly for me to leave the switch on. I drive with the neons on and the lid closed.

    Atm she's got:

    2x12" polk audio subs.
