  1. not sure if the forum committee will approve a group buy on a product that is kinda against the law?? if theres no problems... then great! all we need now is someone who noes where to get these pieces of vinyl tint and installation instructions / group installation some place? :(
  2. cheers... any melb peeps noe of anyone/place for this??
  3. quick question... does the film actualli gets applied on the inside?? i am thinking the answer is yes, then again, it loks like its on the outside as well. if so, any probs with peel and stuff from constant rain and erratic melbourne weather??
  4. true that... for ur peace of mind if ya got the car not too long ago and got it from a dealer which aint toyota. i would have sent it back to a toyota dealer too if i got the car second hand from some car yard. but if ya got it off a toyota dealer and still got warranty covered, the scheduled service can still be done professionally by a certfitied mechanic and at the end of day it does not mean that sending ur car back to toyota will get you top notch service... thats my honest opinion anywayz having been unfortunate enough to feel like i am not heard and have to keep going back to get the same things looked at... thank god for warranty! so yeah... its all in ur head... if ya believe toyota provides you that edge in quality of service (all depends on which toyota dealer too?) then that lil premoum you pay is justified i guess...
  5. juz did my 60K and i did not go back to toyota... bought my car from an authorised dealer and brought it back countless times to get the same things repairs (finally all done now). was surfing around and found this website called fixed price car service which you can find the best priced workshop, their background, number of years doing what they are doing etc for comparison. anywayz... went to this place called g.s. auto clinic off smith street (melb) coz its near to where i live and its cheap... got my 60K done for $211 which includes oil change, oil filter change and everything that is stated in the service manual. all i can say is, they did a great job and very honest... they use valvoline, which i am more than fine with. also, when i look around and see his working on brand new lexus, saabs and mercs... i tell myself this guy cannot possibly screw up my camry :)
  6. Heheheh gotta love driving manuals I will try to make a note to test it out next time I go back up to NE Vic cos it's about 220km each way then the driving I do around there. quick question... when you guys say full tank, do you mean you drive the car until the red light comes on? i normally am looking at the guage and currently at 1 bar below the halfway mark, i've only clocked 290kms. is this normal or is it becoz i am alternate between E10 and normal unleaded? or theres a problem with consumption in my car? any idea how long you can go for when the low fuel light comes on... nver had the b*lls to push it juz in case I get stuck on some freeway...

  12. debadged today after collecting the car from a lowering job and custom mufflers from over the weekend: on a different note... my not color coded mudflaps annoying the hell outa me... an idea how much its gona cost to get it spray painted??
  13. I use Fuchs Titan Super GTO. This oil is only available in a 10W30 oil weight. I believe your engine requires a 5W20 or 0W20 for optimium performance however. Fuchs do have oil to suit though, but it won't be the same as the one I use. If you look at your manual, it clearly states how much oil you need to fill it. I took the effort of finding this answer for you. You 2AZ-FE engine requires 4.3 litres for a drain and fill including oil filter change. That is a personal choice. If you don't intend of giving your car a hard workout all the time, you can just stick with whatever brake fluid they use. I bring in my own brake fluid though when I get a service. My current brake fluid is Penrite Sin, but I'm thinking of changing it with TRW Lucas GP600 next service. Well you also have the power steering fluid, but they don't usually change that... just top it up. thanks champ... ;)
  14. you own a garage? wat sorta work do you do?? service in general or a specialty garage?
  15. what do you use if i may ask?? and for a camry, how many litres you reckon i need?? you would bring in your own break fluid as well? other than that, its ATF and coolant, anything else i missed??
  16. i'm due for my 60K service in a couple of weeks time... with things like engine oil, coolant, etc... do you guys normally bring your own or juz have the workshop replace whatever they have?? i'm heading back to the toyota dealer i got my car from but not sure if i should just leave it with them or would it be better if i bring my own lubes. thx thx
  17. hey akuma, realli cool of you to offer... am sending my car for service in 2 weeks time anywayz and juz checked with em and they will juz do it for free so its much appreciated. btw, i'm getting the white smd parkers from tangcla... just wondering if the license plate uses the same thing??
  18. if ya interested on an original set of sportivo kit, contact Michael Pitt at Brighton Toyota... i was considering bodykits as well when i first got my car in Apr this year but scrapped the idea after i saw the naristo kit and found out the only way i can get it here is if i parted with $5K not including shipping from the states :( anyway, their quote came in cheapest at that time at about $2216... if you dont want the spoiler, you might be able to get it down to just below $2K. i got a set of 18s like you and got it lowered just over the weekend as well as a custom muffler + 3 inch tip installed... dont realli see a need for a kit now...
  19. literally juz got my car lowered with king super lows $450 installed (Melbourne), balanced and wheel aligned and loving the ride... some says ride quality is unbearably jarring, but for me the ride quality went downhill the most when i went from stock to 18 inch... the lowering job after that didnt make a diff, although i have to drive like a 75 year old over any possible humps now... alot of wisemen here did say pedders and kings are essentially the same thing different color tho...
