  1. I cant remember exactly what night it was now, probably early this week...

I was riding in 'baby_rolla's car

Just got onto the Princess Hwy from Hoppers Crossing when a stock looking black facelift sportivo almost took the back off the car

Hit lift just as he was overtaking

We eventually caught up with him again further up the freeway, when he hit lift again

What a lovely sound and sight it was.... :spiteful:

  2. Well, the time has come to say goodbye to Toyota..

After having more than enough fun with the Corolla, im finally upgrading to something more powerfull and sporty.

    Ive got 2 choices:

    - Subaru WRX STi

    - Renault Megane Sport (maybe even the R26 F1 team edition)

Is paying that little bit extra for the Subaru worth the AWD and active diff?

Or should i keep the money, go for the Renault, and just modify?

The Renault does come standard with LSD too.

And the R26 F1 edition is also fitted with the brembo brake package..

It would be good to hear some people's opinions on the two choices ive settled on.

    Thanks

  3. The honda B16a civics make around 95kw atw with mods i/h/e and run 14.5 -15s ive seen a 14.5 run done. The corolla weighs around the same 1080kg around 9th gen hatch 30 kg difference between the 2 but over a second in times from the 1zze corollas. Why the big difference in times ? The civic had no back seat and spare tire at wsid tho just curious. I think it all comes down to gearing ratios. Or is it the 1zzfe doesnt rev as freely or as fast ?

If you know the civics im talking about the ek civic vtir model the 1.6l engine vtec. Compared to a newer 1.8 vvti corolla 1zzfe. The civic was running street tires aswell stock rims. It wasnt just once of aswell all the other civic vtir were around that mark.

What year of B16A are you talking about?

  4. alright so if its the torque converter,

how do i get that fixed,

    whats the costs?

where can i get it fixed (if i cant do it myself)

    - Prue xoxox

    1. How to get fixed? - Take it to Toyota. If the problem has occured as a result of your accident, im sure it will be fixed under your insurance claim.. which is the answer to your second question.

It may only be the front seal thats cracked.. So no biggie there

    2. Whats the costs? - As Above. My estimate is anything over $500 (seal replacement + labour)

    3. Where can I get it fixed? - RE: No.1. Toyota is the best place to get something like that fixed...

  5. Anybody got a spare seat for the cruise?

Dont care what car its in..

AND, i'll bring a camera, CB radio, and even some light refreshments!!

    C'mon. Help a brother out!

    C'MONNNNNNN

There has got to be somebody out there who will give me a lift!!!

    hey man...

since we're in the same hood i could give you a lift... only problem is im not yet 100% sure im going

    PM'd you :)

  6. PROPOSAL!!!

Im not sure if you all know or not, but on Sunday morning, there will be 65 Ferrari's meeting at Crown Casino, with all the owners having brekky at the Rock Pool restaurant..

Could we possibly mingle with the noise?

Sounds like fun? But why? So they can laught at our toy cars? :P

I highly doubt they will be driving at speeds we cant keep up with...

I thought it would be a good photo shoot!

  7. Dunlop Volleys :toast:

I must say my Conquest (110,000kms) feels like a completely different car to our Levin (55,000kms) - yet both are the old throttle-cable set up rather than the fly-by-wire. My clutch is heavy and firm and the Levin just feels "flappy" with no "feel" so to speak (like if you lent your foot on it the pedal would go in - no force required) - maybe as the clutch wears itself it's easier to use? I don't know... someone lend me a facelift and I'll tell you

    HAHAHHA

    Volleys FTW!

  8. Ok guys, this is kinda weird...

I was sitting in the car, in the Hungry Jacks carpark, at the Werribee Plaza

Saw this RED, 2003 ASCENT SEDAN!

When it went past though, it definatly sounded like a Sportivo..

The exhaust and engine tone let off a spark in my head..

Maybe he just had extractors? Or maybe it was something 'sleeper' styles..

If anybody knows about this car, could you please let me know!

I wanted to try and stop him, to ask.. But this thing looks daaaamn quick!!
