  1. Thanks guys!

I had to change the settings itself in the audio setup menu then it was fine afterwards.

However this is a downgrade from my current headunit so i'll be selling this and looking for a sound quality headunit to get the most out of my sound system.

This is a great all in one headunit, however it lacks the features which are most important to me.

If anyone is interested in this, send me a pm. I will also help you install it if you are in melbourne.

  2. Yeah, when I select an audio source after selecting dual zone, nothing happens. At first I thought it could be an iPod issue, but it doesnt work with the radio either.

If I plug in my front speakers to the 2 zone outputs and leave the 2 zone option off, music plays fine. When I turn dual zone on, the sound will start going crazy like old analog tvs that can't pick up a signal.

Maybe it's got something to do with having all my speakers run off an amp.

If anyone is interested, this unit will most likely be up for sale.

  3. I have had the same thing happen to me.

The dash lights and taillights sit on the same circuit so if one cuts off, then theyll all cut off.

It is most likely the stalk that controls all the lights. I purchased one from Toyota for my foglights and it screwed up after a few months. I put my old switch back in and everything was fine again.

This has happened to a few zre152 owners.

  4. I have the Alpine type S 1243D and my mate made an enclosure for it yesterday. If you want your sub to have quality sound, it is important to put it in the right sized enclosure.

With your speakers, I would add a quality four channel and monoblock. The type r's are power hungry so a 5 channel might not be enough.

  5. Where would you like to install the amps?

A nice 5 channel like the alpine PDX could fit nicely under the front seat. A 4 channel and mono might be able to squeeze under the seats, or you can make a nice looking amp rack.

Who will be doing the installation?

A 5 channel may be easier to install if you are doing a DIY. A 4 channel and mono will require extra cables/distribution block etc

Im currently upgrading the audio in my ZRE and just slowly collecting parts. I rarely have rear passengers so i decided on a splits/sub/amp install and will dynamat the front doors. If you dont care about the rear passengers so much, i would suggest you spend more money on better front speakers.

  6. I found this piggyback ECU for the 2zr engine in Japan. Apparently it adjusts the air fuel ratio and ignition timing and takes account of all your engine mods. It is a plug and play and you dont need an installer/computer to adjust the ECU. Theres a little controller so you can adjust the settings yourself.

This may be a solution for those who get a CEL with the injen cai. I'm tempted to try it out but I don't have any engine mods. Anyone willing to be a guinea pig?

I posted the website below. It is the map 314/ Eco 114 system.
