  1. I will probably have to give this unit a miss. I just watched some reviews on youtube to help make up my mind

The factory look is awesome, but it provides me with less features than my current headunit.

When i had the single din headunit i would tweak everything through the amp. But with the pioneer GPS headunit, i have the option of setting the HPF, LPF and alot more through the headunit. So the only thing i tweak on the amp is the gain while keeping everything else off, i found that this was a little easier to do and the sound quality was much better.

    Thanks for the help guys!

  2. For those who have this unit, can you please answer a few questions that i have.

    1. What is the sound quality like with this unit with aftermarket speakers/sub/amp.

    2. Does this unit have a good equalizer system to tweak around?

    3. How good is the ipod connection? I need dual control so i can choose my music either through the ipod or through the headunit.

  3. The front strut i purchased is from Japan. It is difficult to find local products for our car.

If you are happy with the rear sway bar, then just keep that for now.

I researched about the front strut and the majority of people say that they feel no difference. People on stock suspension, lowered springs and coilovers have said they have felt no or little difference.

However for me there's a huge improvement and the car is much more fun to drive now.

Im not sure if the design of my front strut bar has anything to do with it. But my bar sits further out towards the engine compared to the C-one and Cusco.

  4. Quick question for the in depth peoples here,

Seeming as the Subaru BRZ is the same car, would you suggest that the BRZ aftermarket would be compatible with the 86??

If so, it's going to have an amazing aftermarket :-) not that it already doesn't

Im guessing the aftermarket engine parts will be compatible between the two cars.

I remember reading somewhere the exterior for the 86 and BRZ are slightly different.

  5. For me, my car is lowered on king springs. There was a little bit of handling improvement after that but it wasn't very noticeable.

After some mixed reviews, i decided to get a greddy front strut. I installed it last week and felt a very nice improvement. The front is alot tighter and more responsive. The car understeers alot less so it was well worth the money.

There is still quite alot of body roll but im sure the rear sway bar will fix that up.

  6. Hey Ivaz, which corolla did you install the CAI into?

I want to do the CAI/Custom Exhaust combo and have been reading up about it the last few days.

I was assuming that the INJEN CAI had some issue with the 08 model ZRE's and threw the CEL, however after looking through members threads and other threads, i came up with a little table.

The majority of ZRE owners have not had an issue with it. So im guessing, could it be possible that there was a bad batch of INJEN CAI's?

John, Dwee and Tom, did you guys all purchase the CAI off the same seller at the same time?

  7. I stumbled across this when looking for exhaust options. Most owners have been doing a custom job. However, Xforce have one you can buy.

There is the option to choose the ZRE152 on their website but they have no photos or details. I emailed them to find out more. This is there response.
