  1. thanks so much for the diagram...i think i might actually end up going with the larger size then, hopefully the tyres should still be safe.
  2. thanks for the reply...looks like it's back to the 205! thought i could get away with the 215 cuz it was cheaper
  3. Hi Guys, I was planning on replacing 4 tyres on my car and realised that the original 205/60 r16 is quite rare and a premium is paid for that...has anyone tried the 215/60 r16 tyre on their sportivo and if so is it possible? Cheers
  4. I have the same vehicle as you and haven't had any problems with the sound system - touchwood - however, if problem persists maybe just have it checked out by an audio technician if it's really bothering you...but ur problem does seem very strange due
  5. 4 cylinder engine or the v6?
  6. Yeah I am in Melbourne man, I've got an '03 Camry.
  7. Hey guys, I was driving through heavy rain last night and it was ridiculously hard to see the road, before you suggest me upgrading the headlights - I already upgraded the globes to the philips gt-150 globe, has anyone else experienced a dim light or is it just me? Also, any ideas on aiming the headlights properly? Thanks in advance for any replies
  8. I honestly love my camry and I bought it out of choice and I'm 22 years old. My previous car was a Nissan Pulsar with alloy wheels and all those things kids love. The camry I've got is so simple to drive and it's amazingly poised and handles very well for a large car whilst retaining its solidity. Like Lateralus has said, it comes to personal choice. Cars in Australia have traditionally been RWD - focussing on the Commodore and Falcon. All the base models on the Commodore, Falcon, Camry and Aurion are bland - purely because they're the base model. This is evident even in brands such as Subaru and Honda. I read heaps of reviews before buying a Camry, particularly the input of people on this forum who are very knowledgeable when it comes to the Camry model. Obviously, it's personal preference. The Camry offers a nice solid look that's reliable and spacious for taller people in particular, a car that's "sporty" is only differentiated from the base model in terms of a few pieces of plastic termed as a "bodykit". Consumers pay a premium for this alongside better seats and more speakers. At the end of the day, do what makes you happy cuz the Camry in my opinion is one of the best cars out there in terms of value, reliability and versatility.
  9. hey guys, i recently got a v6 '03 camry and it says and my fuel economy ranges from 11.3-11.5litres / 100km. I'm pretty satisfied with the fuel it uses as I think it's quite economical. My driving is a mix between freeway and city driving so on that basis I'm getting the quoted mile-age according to redbook. I use normal unleaded Shell Petrol - not V-power petrol.
  10. i've got an '03 camry and it came with a cassette player - don't remove it!!!! it's pure classs.....and i'm NOT being sarcastic....cassettes are underrated.
  11. hey man, i gave it a go, unfortunately it doesn't work...thanks anyway..
  12. it's your car mate...pick the rims you want and go with them...end of the day it's your money and your car...everyone else just has an opinion...go with what YOU like...
  13. I reckon they all suck...sorry...i like the 5 spoke idea, simplicity > silly wheels.
  14. hey man, if you could give me the link i'd really appreciate it..thanks
  15. hey guys, does anyone know where I could locate a copy of the new version whereis dvd for download? cheers riz.
  16. I'm sorry to hear about your car being a repairable write-off. I bought my car from a dealership too but I still called up vicroads to make sure it hadn't been in any serious accidents....generally dealers don't sell repaired write-offs....surprising....my advice to you - SELL THE CAR and DON'T SPEND ANYMORE MORE MONEY ON IT.
  17. thanks for all the kind words, i really appreciate it. Yeah, the car's going great, I can't complain at all. I love it...so comfy to sit in :)
  18. hey man, i did as those instructions said but it doesn't work :( it says "insert the already registered master key in the key cylinder" but it doesn't state whether to put it on "On" or "acc" or "start", so i'm confused....i tried doing it exactly as it said but no luck .... i'd ask you how you did it, but you have a different car...thanks for your help anyway man..
  19. Hey guys, I recently bought an 03 v6 sportivo, I got a key off ebay and got it cut...any ideas on how to program the key or do i have to take the key and the car to the dealer? any help would be highly appreciated... cheers riz
  20. hey man, my mum and i recently bought a camry...similar shape to the one you're referring to. We bought ours second hand from a toyota dealer and he gave us a 1 year warranty. To this date the car is pretty good, we've only owned it for a month! it was a one owner car....my only advice to you is - if you get any doubt about the purchase of the car, stay away...i spent close to a month just looking for a silver camry and it was hard but worth the wait...there's plenty of models out there that have been in a crash and many of them are repaired write-offs- just go online and do the vicroads check, all you need is the number plate and vin number if u have it...that'll tell you if it's been in something nasty.....also about that sound in the steering, my camry doesn't have it, i've never even heard a zzzz sound - maybe the car's going to sleep :) but keep looking and something will pop up when you least expect it :)
  21. yeah, it is an automatic! I love it, only qualm is that it takes a bit more fuel than my old 1.6l Pulsar, other than that, it's so comfortable!
  22. I got a camry guys! It's a V6 silver 2003 sportivo. I love it :) I got freaked out when i cut a key and the car didn't start - apparently it needs to be coded...heart-attack aside i love the car...so comfy compared to the old pulsar!
  23. thanks for the encouragement guys....i'm still looking for a 5th gen 3.0L sportivo in silver! It's gonna be hard to find one with a sunroof though! I'll keep you guys posted :)
  24. bad news guys.....he sent me a msg a few hours ago saying that someone gave him a deposit on the car
