  1. Yeah i was gunna say probably just shoddy rear tires. I fang around in my AE82 and it grips great. needs new shocks though i think. Fangin through roundabouts is the best fun. Once a red P plater (im green :P) in a new ITR was tailgaiting me so i punched it through shicane styled road and i dont think he wanted to get mummy's car scratched.
  2. try www.twincam.com (sorry for advertising), but they have alot more users with older corollas as this forum is highly revolved around current models, and mainly sportivos.
  3. Alot of people own newer cars around here and have probably lost touch with their older roots. I dont mean to advertise other forums but www.toymods.org.au could help as well as twincam.org
  4. Its an ae82 blue top. Seems to fly. Ok maybe not 4k revs left maybe like 3.5k left but we all like to talk up our cars :) .
  5. Well here it is, i reckon its great, all it needs is a gze or gte conversion i na few years time (when i have a, a stable job and b, insurance wont hit the roof.) Its base model is an AE82 CS Hatch though its got all twincam interior (except the roof lining and boot interior), Blue top 4AGE (86kw @flywheel), the mags are off a 9x nissan bluebird and sitll say nissan on them . The front bar is off an AE92 corolla (needs the sx front skirt IMO to complete it) and the twin cam front grille. It also has all sorts of twin cam goodies like brakes and stuff. Soon to be upgrading the brakes furthur to GZE brakes.
  6. Where as mine screams all the time. I dont have a "stivo". Mines more 'Powered by Toyota' what can we call them for short...
  7. when you say stivo you refer to the newer non turbo sportstivo dont you, they are both "stivo"s arent they?
  8. I think you can order them through penrith toyota but if not you could try carmate.com.au
  9. Well if you had of been on a recent cruise we had to terrigal you would of seen the corollas handling pretty nicely aroun hte old pac highway keeping our own with Mr2's. So our 'old peices of ****' can hold our own, half of its the driver not the car. 'European Styling' you could of got a better looking car for the price you payed.
  10. If there is a performance gain (which there probably would be over my car, not sure about the GZE's.) they arent worth the $$$. Hmm lets see 2500 for a twin cam ae82 + 5000(guess) to help on a conversion to GTE vs 25000+ for a sportivo with "lift..." nup, older roller for me thanks.
  11. and 300 more kilos on the car. My car weighs 900 kg but i dont have the 100kw 4AGE only the 86kw but it still hammers (AE82). Revloutionary would be 40 more killowatts and less body fat.
  12. Hmm yes, so what i consider a sports car in the wrx and rx8, are put in the same category as the XR6 turbo, a family sedan with grunt... and a sportivo, a car that wouldnt match any of the cars. Great magazine they got there.
  13. They dont fix the width though do they? EDit: Im currently listening to a mix ive created of blink 182 and yellocard.
