  1. Just out of curiousity, my mate said he saw another black Stivo @ UNSW with SECA at the back... so I don't know if he also hit something or possibly something else happened!? Also does 92 and 5Y make a difference!?

  2. check the gaps between the tail gate and the tail lights....... you shouldn't be able to fit even your little finger through.......... also boot carpet around the tail light area may not be snug....... how do i know this? my mum has a stock corolla same as ours and it was in a rear end smash and these are the noticable things that they couldn't get right..... its been back and they fixed the carpet trim abit but not reall to the point of how it was......... hope this helps

Yea, I've had a look at all that, tail gate and tail lights looks pretty neat, the boot carpet with looks pretty snug fit.

Nothing I've noticed out of ordinary.

But I am worried about the structure.

@ BKS : Yea, I'll get it on a hoist and have a look underneath... you reckon my mechanic can tell me if something is wrong? Or maybe possibly a Toyota servicing centre?

  3. Interesting... I was wondering why it looks abit "stuck on"... I checked with Ken though, he reckon it was stock... haha

But anyway, I'd remove that the "SECA" and fit some King Lows at the front first.

I've ordered some SMD LED parkers for the front and number plate lights.

Then I'll probably get some C-one eyelids and HIDs.

Sure is stock.. on a non sportivo.... i'd be a little concerned with any other potential damage done from a rear end smash.

Any ideas as to how I may be able to check for any rear end damages?

I want to be certain that everything is fine and still in good condition.

    Thanks!

  5. Haha thanks guys!

Getting used to it now, though stalled twice on a hill @ redlights.. (Missed 2 lights) :(

Getting some practise done during late nights... So hopefully I won't disrupt too many people

PS. It's chopped springs at the front... I'm looking to get them replaced with King Lows to match the rear as soon as I get the hang of manual

  6. Thanks fellas!

Yea, the Sportivo is here.. Haven't had a chance to take photos yet, I might have some time tomorrow, and I'll post it up!

I'm actually learning manual (It's harder than I thought).

    @ CHA54 : I sold it for $5k with 196+ km on the clock.

  7. Thanks guys!

Yea, bit of mixed feelings. The Rolla really grew on me! It'll be pretty sad returning without it. :(

All journeys must come to an end. I hope it finds a good owner.

But on the other hand, IT'S TIME TO PLAY WITH THE SPORTIVO! HAHA

    @ Yuro : Broadway actually

  9. Hey boys and girls,

I think its time for me to upgrade my car (AE112R sedan) to an '05 black Sportivo. I'm pretty new to this and if you guys have any tips or hints about buying a Sportivo (or a car for that matter) it will be greatly appreciated!

Hopefully I can get my hands on it. :yahoo:

Its $18,500, 65,439KM, completely stock '05 Sportivo (not sure if it's 5Y or 92, but what's the difference?)

    Thanks in advance!

  10. Speedy replies, I like that! :spiteful:

Welcome aboard Young. It is awesome, lots of info and friendly people. BTW, you should be looking at a pre-facelift Stivo! :D

Yea, I had a look around in rollaclub etc. and this one is the best Toyota forums around locally. Very impressed with the mods you guys have done.

I thought about pre-facelift Stivos, I love the grille and the optional sunroof. :yahoo: But I also love the "euro" look on the facelift. l'll see what happens in a couple of months when I get one. :P

  11. Hey guys, thought I'll drop in and give my greetings. I'm from Sydney and I drive a AE112R Ascent sedan. This forum looks pretty awesome and I've been browsing around abit. Alot of useful info for a noob like me. :yahoo:

I'm looking to get a black MY05 Stivo soon and probably get some mods on it. Looking forward to know some of you guys and your rides.
