    Lighter socket

Thanks for all the views folks, It has been done.
  3. Hi Parrot mki9100 I recently installed a Kenwood DVD player in my 2004 Kluger CVX. The adaptors are made by aerpro and they can be found at www.aepro.com. I bought the adaptor cable from Supercheap. The only problem I had was with the cable that adapts to the Kenwood, as it was missing teh Earth wire that connects to the hankbrake and the front and rear fader control was wired wrong way round. Asthe shop told me that irt was the only adator for Kenwood. Is fixed now. After checking out aerpro.com I found that there where two types for Kenwood. Wich I pointed out to the shop later on. So now they are aware of it.
  4. Hi Splitscreen What is a mki9100? If it's a stereo system then the best way to go is to buy the adaptor cables.

    Lighter socket

Hi team Does any body knw how to remove the cigarette lighter socket near the gear shift? as I want to move it from the drivers side to the passenger side. The car is a 2004 CSX Kluger. Thanks in advance. Willem
  6. Thanks for that chucky06, unfortunately that part does not exist at aerpro.com I bought one from Suprcheap in Grafton that was a universal model one from aerpro as well, it did not fit. I ended up custom making one myself from plywood and it turned out better than the plastic ones. Cheers Willem
  7. Hi chucky06 & akuma Thanks for the reply's. chucky06 if you can find a name and part number that would be great. We have a Suppercheap auto's in Grafton as well a a repco dealer.
  8. Hi there I need a little help as in, I just replased my 6 Stacker CD player with a Kenwood DVD player in my 2004 Kluger CVX. Now I have an open space underneath that needs filling. I spoke to Toyota spare parts and they say that there is no storage shelf to fill the the gap. I read on the forum that there was, and now can't find it. So does any body know if there is one available and what it is called, maybe even the part number. Thanks in advance...
  9. I bought a 2004 CVX kluger, as it is easy for my aging parents to get in and out of after being involved in a head on smash recently. I wanted a 4WD and compromised by getting a AWD. I was looking at a Nissen Xtrail, but there was not much leg room in the back for my parents and the boot space as to small for the weekly shopping, and a Pajero was to high to get in and out of.

    Kluger tips

No probs. I asked a question in an other post on how can you tell if it's a Gen 1 or 2? I have the 2004 CVX wagon model... Looking at your profile you only live about an hours drive south from me... Cheers Willem

    Kluger tips

Of course you need the key in the ignition to activate the ACC power. [b]If you read the first post, he was stating that the Kluger will give a chime if you do so WHILE the door/s are open. You mentioned that you don't get it when the door/s are closed which is besides what the statement originally said. Maybe I should put my sentence an otherway where it might be easyer to understand, I said " I have the ignition on Acc. and listen to the radio or CD player with no door open or keys in the ignition reminders...." as I did not say that I had the door/s closed. What I should have said is: When I have my doors open and the key in the ignition with the Acc on listening to radio/CD. I do not get any reminders saying that my doors are open.

    Gen 1 or Gen 2?

Hi guys How can one tell if it's a gen 1 or 2 ? I just bought a 2004 Kluger CVX. Silver in colour. Cheers (ô¿ô) Willem
  13. Hi Guys I just upgraded from a 1995, EF Ford Falcon to a 2004, Toyota Kluger CVX just a few days ago. Hope I made the right decision. Took it for a long drive today, like a 300 km round trip. Up and down the mountain side. It handled great and plenty of power compared to my 4.0 L Ford... Cheers Willem

    Kluger tips

I thought it was bad to leave it in the ON position for extended periods of time, due to additional battery drain and possible overheating of startup components? Maybe (I'm showing my age here) that only applies to ignition coils and distributors which are no longer relevant? Ken. Hi guys I'm new to this forum. I recently purchased the Kluger CVX. While installing various bits of electronic stuff like hands free mobile phone kit, I have the ignition on Acc. and listen to the radio or CD player with no door open or keys in the ignition reminders.... ***** with all cars I have owned over the last 25 years they have all been the same as, you must have the ignition on for the radio to work. Unless you changed it to a live supply directly from the batterie like I used to do. Cheers Willem
