  2. i was talking to a guy at work, and he was saying that if i get lowered springs i need lowered shocks.

if thats the case, what sort of shocks should i be getting if i'm gonna be using king spring lows?

Did you get it soughted marety ? We are doing the same job. I have fitted Monroe with kings and it does not ride well at all!

  3. Just about every retail tyre chain in the country will trade oe wheels and tyres to sell you a new set. I have worked in the retail tyre trade for 17 years and when managing the Noosa store we traded a set of oe at least evry week. When people got to know that we had alot of oe we started getting calls from panel shops to help source oe wheels and tyres.

  4. Wtb crystal look tail lights to suit bug eyed csx corolla 99 model . Have been looking on the web for new ones but every time I find a place that advertises they say they dont do them any more. Would have to be in as new condition or they will not be worth bying. Will pick up bewtween harvey bay and Gold coast if they are the right ones.

  6. Hey,

I'm looking to put a 4age black top into my 1996 toyota paseo.

Does anyone know what is required to complete the engine swap, as in modification of engine mounts, ect...

I have access to a 4age blacktop with gearbox and wiring loom computer, and also know a mechanic who will help me do it,

basically I just want to know how hard the job is and an idea of what modifications will be required.

    Cheers,

    Martin

I would have thought a 4EFTE would have been a better swap for a paseo?

it probably would be, but im after an N/A swap as i still have a fair while on my Ps.

a blue plate mod such as an engine swap is still illegal for me but no cop around where i live will ask me to lift the bonet on a paseo lol

I am sorry to say I can not help but will be watching baited breath to see how you go. I have recently bought my daughter a paseo and would love to do it up for her.

  7. We have now got 5 Toyotas at our place. Its like living at a dealership. Our latest purchase is a Starlet life. Would like to put some electrical conveniance items in it, Power windows / Mirrors.Would like to get factory equipment so as to keep the look. Would also like to put power steering in it does any one know the differences.

  8. As I said above we have bought a Paseo for our Daughter. It did not have an Owners Manual in it. I have been down to the local Toyota Dealer and they said that toyota no longer lists this part. Was hoping someone out there might have one in good condition they would like to sell.

  9. Perhaps this is what you are after???

Thank ou for the help and the reply. I am downloading the manual as I type this. I do have a manual on a Tacoma. But being a left hamd drive all the associated wiring is different they also had more option sin the states for convenience items so alot more wiring. Thank you again for the reply.

  10. I am desparetly chasing a factory workshop manual to suit the 3rz engine in the Hilux. The after market ones are useless and the local toyota dealer has not been able to help. The only things available on the net are for LHD. This is the fourth time have posted this request and have not had even a peap :help:

  11. I was told at work that it might be a case. Will it change when I change tyres to 235/55R17 or 225/55R17?

How old is the sportivo and has the front end been checked. If the lower control arm bushes have wear in them the braking and acceleration will move the control arm at ball joint ( lower mounting point for the strut) forward and backward causing the steering to move in your hand. With taller profile tyres this problem will not be so obvious. Lower profile tyres will exagerate any front end problems.

  12. I am fitting a 3RZ feengine into a RN85 hilux twin cab I am using the complete wiring harness from the donor vehicle. The boys at the wreckers have done a great job of removing it but I cant indedtify each of the plugs . I am looking for a factory work shop manual with the wiring diagram.
