Looking at Camry/Aurion specific head units
Full-Throttle replied to nzzr6's topic in Aurion / TRD Aurion Club
After much thought, I ordered this Erisin unit off eBay this week: http://www.ebay.com/itm/231452401614?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT For only $290 AUD with free shipping it sounds like a bargain, so I'm looking forward to it's arrival. What stood out for me compared to other units was that it has 3 USB ports (1 on the front and 2 on the rear) so I can have my USB cables tucked up under the dash, and it has an external microphone input for Bluetooth so I can mount the mic in the factory position up on the roof map light. Before buying I was able to email the seller to make sure it came with New Zealand GPS maps too, so that's always a bonus :) Shortly after I bought it on eBay I discovered I could have got it a bit cheaper by buying it directly through their website (just my luck, lol) but for the price it appears to be a great unit for the money. This is a link to their website if you want to get it a bit cheaper compared to their eBay listing: http://www.erisin.com/erisin-es7668m-8-car-dvd-player-gps-sat-navi-3g-iphone5-vmcd-toyota-aurion-camry_p547.html -
Thanks mateys! :D I swear the kids ride in more style than what I do!

Happy New Year to all! :D First photoshoot of 2015:
-
Thanks!! :D Haha, yep, already got those. My car has them from factory as it's the SE Limited model. The mirrors in that eBay link are for the 8th Gen Corolla, which uses a different switch and, interestingly, doesn't include the relay in the auction to make it work, lol. Some more new shots:

Welcome! Whereabouts in NZ are you from?

Thanks guys!!! ^_^ We've had a lot of rain here lately (and it's meant to be summer, lol), but the sun finally arrived today so I decided to make the most of it and snap a few pics of the Corolla:

A few photos that I took today:

I decided to return to a couple of my favourite photo locations today as I haven't been back since installing my new wheels and window tint. Here's how they came out:

^ Haha nice. Great minds think alike Ahh.. so you purchased these from trademe and had to drive to tauranga? I don't feel so bad that I missed out on these now as I thought they may have been sold to someone who wouldn't have looked after them. Yep, that's the one :). Were you the guy who asked for the Buy Now to be put up? (member name 'ashsv'). I was going to ask him the same thing, so as soon as the buy now was up I clicked it immediately. Hopefully there's no hard feelings . I am certainly taking good care of them (they get meticulously cleaned twice daily and I park about 2-feet from the curb ) Here's another shot that I took today: Yes that was me. There are no hard feelings at all. I ended up driving down to tauranga on the sunday and buying a set of white 18" advanti fluids in perfect condition with similar tread left on the tyres. It must have been meant to be. (once we lower the car I will get some photos up) Your car looks fantastic. It's good to appreciate the subtle and tasteful modifications you have made to your corolla. Excellent to hear mate. I'm glad that it all worked out well in the end. My Dad's got some Advanti Fluids on his car, although they're only 16". Very nice looking wheels, and quite similar to the Photons. Looking forward to seeing some pics . Thanks for the compliment by the way. I appreciate it. If you ever see me driving around Auckland give me a toot

Thanks mate. I got 35% tints installed yesterday. They're called "Night Rider" and are a lot darker than 'normal' tints, but still with 35% opacity. Here's some latest photos (first 3 are before the tint install) -

engine number location

You could try and track down a JDM FX-GT factory body-kit. It consists of the sideskirts, rear spoiler and front bumper with fog lamps and splitter (the same design front bumper as yours, except with fog lights in the blanks). I'd send you them over from here, but the shipping costs wouldn't be worth it. apart from that you'd be looking at going down the custom route.

I designed some custom stickers the other day and had them printed today. I've put two in the engine bay. Let me know what you guys think :D

Fitted some new wheels today. Had to drive 2-hours each way to get them though. They're Advanti Photons and are 'Hyper Silver' in colour. Here's some photos (honest opinions very welcome) -

A couple of photos from today. Went to take some photos of the Auckland Sky Tower, and needed something to do while waiting for the clouds to clear: And a couple I took the other week:

Thanks mate ;) Thanks a lot! :D. I can't stand cars with canons and large ricer wings etc. Admittedly, a couple of my old cars had canons on them back when I was about 16, but over the years I've moved on from that kind of crap and now prefer my car to be subtle yet tasteful. I'm glad you like it B)

Here's some photos of the pedal arm that I took earlier:
