  1. x2! post pics! you should see some of the YARIS in Europe, they have leather interior as standard on the premium model. ....and Climate Air Con, and keyless entry & start on the top models. UK models have space saver tyres though!
  2. I have a Manual YRX Hatch with a Hiclone, ITG High Flow Air Filter & NGK Iridium spark plugs fitted. I use only BP Ultimate fuel in the car. I always get 6Ltrs/100Km, which is slightly more than the manufacturers 6.1 figure I drive normally and don't ever thrash my car.
  3. Not on the Yaris sedan...just Odometer and 2 Tripmeters. do you have a picture?? where is it located? On the digital window with the fuel gauge and clock. There is a button to scroll between odometer and the 2 tripmeters above the CD player. European & UK models have the fuel consumption meter, but Toyota Australia deleted this feature so they could make more money. They deleted the intermitent feature off the rear wiper on the hatch too!
  4. Filters are the same. For 1.5 Engine, try the PUROLATOR PureONE Filter from Super Cheap Autos (Filter Number: PL14476). Good quality USA Made Filter.
  5. I forgot to mention that the European models also get the CD player that plays WMA files, and they get 6 speakers (we get 4)! .....And they also have the option of the magnificent '4D-4' 1.4 Turbo Diesel Engine - the best Yaris engine by a long shot!
  6. Yes, that is true to an extent, but there is only a couple of grand difference now, but the equipment is worth far more than that, and they pay 17.5% VAT as compared to our 10% GST - so the enhanced profit margin is going straight into Toyota Australia's hip!
  7. I was just doing a bit of detective work on the new Yaris, and have noticed that the Aussie models have again missed-out on the goodies that our European cousins enjoy - specifically, we get rear drum brakes while they get rear discs; they get climate control but we don't; they get keyless start but we don't; we pay $750 for side, curtain & knee airbags but European's get them standard; they get the 1.5 VVTL-i engine but we get only the 1.5 VVT-i donk! Is it just me that's ****** with Toyota Australia? They seem to go to any lengths to save a cent here and there, at the expense of us!
  8. No dealer fitted sunroof to date I'm afraid!
  9. I have just ordered a Yaris YRX 5 Door Manual with the extra safety pack (7 Airbags) - managed to get the dealer to pay for safety pack ($750), but only because he is a mate of a mate - otherwise its full retail, as they cannot keep-up with demand (Toyota has sold over 1700 Yaris's in the last month). My total came to the following: Yaris YRX 5 Door Manual (with Safety Pack) - $21,800 Drive Away with 12 Months Licence (includes Headlight Protectors, Scuff Guard, and F & R Carpet Mats), & $800 for Titanium Tint, Paint Glaze, Fabric/Carpet Protection & Dash Mat. Total - $22,600. Incidentally, the 2006 built Yaris YRX will come standard with Rear Roof Spoiler, as well as Front, Rear & Side Skirts. If you decide on a Yaris YRX, I can try and get you the same deal as I got, but my Yaris won't be delivered until the end of Feb 2006 (10 Weeks), due to the Safety Pack being a Factory Fit. Let me know - softwarecdsanddvds@iinet.net.au
