  1. idiots that try to get onto a freeway off an on ramp doing about 50~60 kms.

Its these idiots that create traffic! freakin' get to 100!! your supposed to be doing that much anyway!! >_<

  2. They both have about the same amount of throw reduction.

However, don't be fooled by the TRD "short" shifter, it's not actually any shorter than the stock one, however it does reduce the throw distance by around 30% roughly. I think how they've done it is, they've made the lever below the pivot ball slightly longer which helps reduce the throw.

So the TRD Short Shifter isn't really a Short shifter.. but more of a Quick Shift Set, as labelled on the box.

Personal preference tho, I'd probably be rocking the TRD shifter, basically because it has a better feel to it, and it's MUCH easier to install than the TWM one, as it already comes in housing, including bushings and everything is mounted, so there isn't much stuffing about.

The TWM one is quite difficult to install as you have to remove the old shifter from it's housing and replace it with the TWM one, so this requires someone with a lot of dexterity, it also intern feels a lot stiffer than the stock or TRD one after assembly if the pivot ball hasn't been greased up enough, so it's a ton of stuffing about if you don't get it right the first time.

I know tho, at the end of the day some people just go for aesthetics and buy crap anyways...

In short, if your serious about reducing your throw than go for the TRD one, if your after something just for looks or some sort of aesthetic appeal, than the TWM one.

My advice is tho, stay away from the TWM one, I'd rather take out the hack saw to mine than install that PoS.

    Hope this helps :)

[edit] - The TWM one is also shorter than the stock one, probably by about 3~4 cm tho, but trust me shorter shifters are annoying, if you go to track days you'll notice most of the cars are fitted with quite tall shifters and for those that know the term dildo shifter, (an actual term, please don't laugh) would know what I'm talking about :)

  3. Too many Otaku's on this forum

    way too many.

If you want to see serious otaku, akiba is the place... its crazy.

Haha!! being an Otaku is pretty much shunned by the Japanese, you don't want to be a self confessed one if anything.. else you'll have no friends there lol..

An Otaku is generally someone that doesnt want to go hang out wife friends, they'd much rather lock themselves up in a dark room and watch anime and other sorts of things, mostly perverted LOL!

So just be careful using that term guys :-P

Fairly close, however otaku seem to get along with their own kind... but they are often loaners.

If you wander in to some of the seedier anime/cospaly/etc shops in akiba or den den you see some of the weird **** otaku are in to.

Its both funny and sad at the same time.

Hahahaha!! very very true, I've actually been there before, we went passed on our trip to Japan 5~6 years back.. feel like going Japan again, but I'll probably avoid Akihabara tho haha!! scary place that one.

Haha!! Cosplayers are always funny, there's a chick I know, that was dating a guy that was heavily into Anime, she had confessed that he would ask her to Cosplay for him LMAO! I mean I can understand role plays like a nurse or a police officer, but come on, some people have some strange fantasies haha!!

  4. Has anyone caught the Supernatural anime yet? it's supposed to be seasons 1 and 2 rolled into one animated series, it's actually pretty good..

Gintama is pretty good as well, if you like Comedy and some mashups of martial arts, I recommend it, it's quite funny because they do all these spoofs of other anime like Dragonball and Initial D

  6. Petrol won't become redundant till we run out of it.

    simple answer.

Think about how much tax your paying on petrol, and then think whether governments would want to lose out on all that money because of a different form of fuel and/or mechanism which helps cars not use petrol.

There's actually rotary engines which run off compressed air, the compressed air is used to turn the rotors and then it's practically re-used over and over again. In other words, it's an engine that doesn't require any fuel.. look it up.

The downside is,rotary engines are much like communism, where.. they only work in theory

But yeah, I doubt the governments give 2 sh!ts about the environment, they're only looking after their pockets, so I doubt they'll ever allow petrol to stop being traded

  7. The worst I have eaten was a bite of a Balut. Could not bring myself to eat the entire thing. Never... again.
