I have heard that some cars --have just ONE reversing light-- (my Yaris --6 months old has two) a friend that has a 2 door Hatch 3 year old Yaris has just one and said that this is how it came ?

Parts wise we are doing quite fine in the replacement parts area, Toyota is as we speak embarking on a change of parts system and as part of the new "taipan" system the warehouse holding capabilities has been massively increased to better service dealerships at their facing warehouse level, so in simply terms our warehouses know hold far much product lines and of course to do this they have been slightly increasing stock sizes for the last 6-12 months so we have mores stock in this country now at the moment then we ever have. so filters or crash parts will not be effected certainly in the short to medium term and TMC is still making replenishment orders to TMCA so no need to be concerned in that regard. However despite the doom and gloom reports of Altona putting 3000 personal on half days and cutting production down to 9600 or 9800 units is not because of weak Camry and Aurion sales as the media has made it out to sound but is in fact so they can sustain production at a good reasonable level whilst being savvy with the part supply they have, even though they are made here with the majority of parts sourced from Australia (unlike the "Australian" cruze there is still parts sourced from Japan particular in the power train of Aurion and Hybrid Camry. Once stock levels come back to a good level Altona will return to its operating level it was prior to the disaster. back to Cruze did you know that its local content is like 40%!!!!! That’s a very poor effort may as well continue to import from Daewoo! makes me laugh how Holden talks up the built quality advantage of them building them, yeah because Commodore is known worldwide for awesome build quality and fit and finish not to mention longevity and all... lol ++ Thanks for that info

I don't want to sound uncaring re the disaster in Japan. However I was wondering how we will get on for spare parts now? Also are they still getting cars from Japan?

Speedz--I am not sure but maybe ring the Toyota and ask them --I thought they were about $250--and you have to have it enabled for your car ??

Thanks I will have to get a mirror and have a good look and see what type of filler I would need . I guess an Auto shop would know what I would need?

I have a Yaris Sedan 2010 "white" and due to a very steep dip in a drive way I have a Scratch just under the front bumper-- it can't be seen but I know it is there and I was wondering how and if I can fix this myself. Would I use a wet and dry sand paper? and then the paint they gave me when I bought it. Thanks for ANY advise.

Just had a trip to Sydney--also some running around in traffic there--this time I got 49.3222 MPG or in other words used 5.7272 Liters per 100 Ks. I never used the A/c on the way down--did on the way back--had a full load in boot and back seat with luggage but just me in the car

I have got a Yaris Manual sedan 1.5 2010 Model I have done just 3900 ks have just done a trip and the last petrol I worked out I did 1846.7 Ks and I used 112.7 Litres I had a FULL boot and full back seats and there were 2 adults in the car, the Air Con on was on the whole time. This was a mix of city and highway driving. Worked out at 46.2871 Mile per Gallon or ---6.1028 Litre per 100 Ks __see below ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ENTER Fuel Used: Imperial (UK) Equivalents 46.2871 miles per gallon AND Distance Traveled: 2.1604 gallons per 100 miles 0.0216 gallons per mile OR Fuel Consumption: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SI (Metric) Equivalents 16.3860 kilometers per litre 6.1028 litres per 100 kilometers 0.0610 litres per kilometer -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mixed Equivalents 10.1818 miles per litre 74.4919 kilometers per gallon 0.0982 litres per mile 0.0134 gallons per kilometer --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That would depend on what conditions--ie hill--flat ground etc--best thing is to get used to the sound of the motor and make sure not to labor the engine at all--and don't get into the 5th gear below 70KPH--It is not so much the speed but the Revs

I have a new Yaris 1.5 --Manual Sedan 2010, I have had it since the 11/1/11 and I have done just over 1000 Ks I have found that it has stalled about 4 times, (I never stall a car no matter what I drive) at idle it revs at around 700--I was wondering if this was about normal--or should it be a bit higher? OR is it a clutch adjustment. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks

Is it a new Yaris and do you have the Owners manual--I have a new one and am having the same trouble with my phone (different phone than yours)

Still the same one it is only 18 months old

-- I never has a dash mat in my other car--the one this replaced and that was still in very good condition-however I don't think the Yaris is quite the quality as my other car that is now sold. I have fitted the seat covers and also have the floor mats. Now just have to figure out if this Mobile will tune into the Bluetooth
