  1. I'm wondering if this whole pull left issue can be put down to a misunderstanding of what sort of alignments should be done. I had the pull left issue for a while, and had the alignment done every 10,000km since new, each time with noticeable improvement but not a total elimination of the issue. I did a bit of research and found that I've actually been getting the wrong kind of wheel alignment done. What I SHOULD have done (and insisted on regardless of what the tech or sales ppl said) is to carry out a FOUR wheel alignment each and everytime I send the car in for an alignment instead of the standard front wheel alignment these tyre places always try to sell you. The one time I did a four wheel alignment (and I insisted on getting a copy of the report), the pull left issue completely resolved itself. My Aurion now tracks straight as an arrow. It doesn't pull left at all now. Heck, I don't even need to apply any pressure on either side of the steering wheel at ALL on the road to keep it tracking straight. I'm just sayin, that it could well be that people haven't been doing the right alignments on their cars. You can have perfect front wheel alignment, but if your rear alignment is off, even just slightly, the car will tend to pull to one side. I figured these tyre places only do front wheel alignments because it's quicker and they can turnover customers faster (hence more profit through volume). Four wheel alignments are a ***** to do because of the extra effort. Cost wise it's not even double the cost of a front wheel alignment, so overall they actually make less money doing four wheel alignments. In my mind, this explains why they tend to shy away from four wheel alignments and always try to tell you that the fronts are always the culprits and the rears shouldn't be the problem. I think it might be a case of people assuming the rear wheels are always perfectly aligned. This isn't necessarily the case, and the alignment does go out (eg, you drive over the curb while turning a bit too sharply into a corner or parking space, etc). Just my 35c worth. BB Hi just wondering what state your in.......if your in vic can you please give me the details of the place you went to so i can get a four wheel alignment done, thanks in advance
  2. im surprised no suspension place has advertised on here to rectify the issues with a set price to replace the said bushes.
  3. fantastic write-up, and yes I'm sick and tired of car pulling to the left. My question is in regards to the "severe" and "slight" variants of the bush kit. How do i know which one to get? Also does anyone in Melbourne know where i can goto who has fixed/installed these kits?
  4. ok the big question is.....does is steer straight or are we gonna have to change some suspension bits?
  5. damm...what a sexy car, GL with sale mate 14k is a giveaway price
  6. yeah, i know they are optional extras but shouldnt my spare wheel be a kappa aswell? it seems you got a set of 5 and i got a set of 4 with the spare being the original 17" wheel?
  7. sorry to go off topic but did you have to pay extra for the 5th kappa? i only got 4 with my ZR6, only checked mine after i saw your ad. (think i got rolled)
  8. sounds like you got a faulty plug but double check that its a stereo plug and not mono. you can do this by looking at the actual plug; stereo = 2 black stripes, mono = 1 black stripe
  9. I have uploaded the files for all to access. The contents are as follows: iGO8 system files + NAVTEQ 2010Q2 maps (latest) + 3D bulidings and terrain + Text-to-Speech (TTS) The TTS may cause your GPS to lag, so I can't guarantee it. File size is about 524MB because of the 148MB of TTS stuff, but this is a one size fits all package. Just extract the iGO8 folder in the root of the ZIP onto the root of your SD card. Select iGO8.exe as the GPS program and you are all set. Feel free to get them from here: http://djkor.com/external/document/firmware.zip just in refernce to the above said. does GPS "lag" mean that the speech will sound like a fax or a corrupted mp3 file? i currently use a "AUTOGPS" unit with "iGO8" unsure of the version but i assume it is the latest as the seller sent it with the unit,on regular occassions the speech will sound like a fax. I have downloaded and reinstalled software which the seller has provided but still no luck. The only time the unit works is if i shut all speech off, turn off GPS volume and rely on visuals only. Does anyone else experience the same here? please advise, thanks in advance.
  10. just wanted to know if anyone in MELBOURNE have had this issue resolved 100%. please recommend me where to go as i have not had any luck with wheel alignments with local tyre shops. thanks in advance and sorry to hijack the thread
