  1. I -knew- I'd seen that one somewhere, but for the life of me couldn't find it. Don't suppose you got the PSD off bok by any chance DJ?
  2. Thanks Freaky :) Here's some brief instructions, hope it helps If you haven't installed any different skins (don't know if Auspack uses a skin or not) or standard iGO. If it's a standard iGO installation, you should have a "branding.zip" file in the root of the iGO8 folder. Unzip this, copy the file across to the right resolution folder, in my case it is Storage Card\iGO8\branding\ui_igo8\240_400 for the portrait screen, and Storage Card\iGO8\branding\ui_igo8\400_240 for the landscape screen. Once copied, zip everything back up into branding.zip and copy it back to where you found it. Hey presto! ** Make sure you back up the branding.zip file before playing with it, I won't be held responsible if this crashes your nav ***
  3. Hi guys, Thought I'd post this up, given it's my first real contribution to the scene. I haven't upgraded to an AUSPACK or similar yet, so I'm still using the GPS on my Omnia. Works well enough, but wasn't happy with the loading screen. So, after a few gratuitous photoshop sessions I came up with these: loading.bmp loading_portrait.bmp It's in 240x400 resolution, but I'm sure they can be modified to suit the Auspack units, depending on the screen res. Enjoy!
  4. Funnily enough, found the same thing with the 08 Sportivo SX6. If you find how to set more of a delay on this, please let us know!
  5. Just thought I'd weigh in on this one.. Basically, you get the insurance you're happy with. When you're calling around though, grill them on whether they use new genuine parts or if they use second-hand parts.. I've heard rumblings in the industry that places like AAMI and NRMA will use cheap second-hand parts in their repairs, and charge through the a*** for their premiums. Make sure you get choice of repairer too.. authorised repairers are only as good as their reputation, lots of insurers choose the authorised repairers on a financial basis i.e., cheapest repair. Cheapest price does vary pretty widely from area to area.. NRMA might be cheaper in Sydney, but dearer in Brisbane, depends on their claims in the area and target market. Just picked up my Aurion today, insured through my bank. Check with yours, most institutions will have an alliance with one of the big insurers, and hopefully be able to cut you a better deal. Went with Allianz as underwriters for mine. And it's midnight and I'm rambling.
  6. Hey guys! Just thought I'd say hi, just picked up a nice silver 08 Aurion Sportivo SX6, and have spent all of the past few nights trolling through the forums to make sure I knew what I was getting. So thanks to a lot of you out there I took the plunge, but I think I'll have to hold off on some of the mods for a while. First Toyota I've owned, prior to this I've had a few Hyundais, some Fords and a Honda. Never had a sweeter, quieter, and gutsier drive in my life until I got behind the wheel of this. Taking it for it's maiden voyage to the beach tomorrow, looking forward to stretching it's legs! Edit: Thanks for all the welcomes! Very happy with how it handles the back road to Caloundra from Kilcoy (although the fiance would disagree.. greasy food and fast corners don't mix with her). Still can't get over the whole package.. handling, responsiveness, fuel economy.. list goes on!
  7. that was a good buy for a prodigy, I got my 07 sx6 in may this year similar k's in melbourne for $24,300 at least 8 to 10 k cheaper than any in tassie. only extra was flying over and bringing it back on the boat. Wow, thats an excellent price. Did you get it from a dealer or private sale? Just picked up an 08 sx6 today, regional queensland and got it cheaper than I could in brisbane! Gotta love ex-govt cars. Next step is to replace the stereo....
