I still can't understand why Toyota does not make the Kluger/Highlander is Diesel???? Diesel sales account for over 20% of the Australian market now... strange decision i think.... i just can't understand it... :o
  3. Guys, There seems to be some confusion out there regarding the pricing of Klugers in 2010. Please see this extract from this weeks GoAutoNews: Jan 20, 2010 Page 17 SUBSCRIBE FREE: www.GoAutoMedia.com GoAuto News It isn’t all good news on the Toyota price front Toyota prices yo-yo Toyota prices yo-yo By BYRON MATHIOUDAKIS TOYOTA has elected to drop the prices for most of its imported cars, led by the popular Yaris light car, Corolla small sedan, Kluger medium SUV and Tarago people-mover. Customers for the latter are in for the biggest bonanza, with savings of between $2160 and $2770. The RAV4 range is up (between $300 and $500), the LandCruiser 70 buyer is now $600 poorer than previously, and the LandCruiser 200 is $1000 further away, but the Kluger has slid down to the tune of $500.Finally, the fare to enter into a HiAce Commuter Bus is also $500 higher.
  4. Thanks Let's Go..... You make valid point there regarding side steps.... I just think they make the car look much tougher and sexier :) However the sidesteps only look like they stick out an inch or too... we might have to check it out... Thanks so much again for the feedback and comments....
  5. Thanks Dave, we can't wait to get our Kluger... especially coz we have our first little one on the way.... Thanks for the tip about the side steps....i'll do some more research about the after market ones first... and if no good i'll get genuine Kluger Side Steps... Also does anyone know how much a chrome line Grill insert would be and how easy it would be to replace the current one?
  6. I am waiting to take delivery of a 2010 build KX-S... We are getting tow bar, nudge bar, headlight and bonnet protectors, and cargo and floor mats, however i'm interested to know if any recommends any of the after market accessories like the SIDE STEPS you can get off ebay?? These are dirt cheap compared with Toyota's genuine Side Steps... Please see this link... Has anyone purchased these? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/07-09-Toyota-Kluger...=item1c0ccd5836 Besides looks, what is the advantage of the side steps? Also does anyone know how much a chrome line Grill insert would be and how easy it would be to replace the current one? Thank you, Kluger Jedi :)
  7. Does anyone know what these sidesteps are like? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/07-09-Toyota-Kluger...=item1c0ccd5836 they look ok and are listed on ebay for $375... what about these ones? look a bit strange these ones below... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Toyota-Kluger-07-09...=item4a9dccbcaf

  9. I have no info or figures or accessories... Also the Altitude was a specced up KX-R (i think) so there are no stand alone industry figures for this.... sorry, that's all I have.... Jack :)
  10. Guys, These figures are based on the complete year for 2009 Kluger Sales in Australia... For the Grande - 38% of sales are 2WD and 62% AWD. KX-S - 49% are 2WD and 51% are AWD. KX-R - 61% are 2WD & 39% are AWD. It basically is almost even.... All up 52% of all Klugers in 2009 are 2WD and 48% are AWD % of Total Sales Grande 25% KX-S 27% KX-R 48% Biggest seller is the KX-R 2WD (price point I guess)... Interesting... Very interesting...

  12. I'll post the complete SUV market figures tmrw morning :) I can break it down for the Kluger by AWD and 2WD if anyone is interested.... I'll see if i can break it down by model e.g KX-R, KX-S & Grande...
  13. Toyota Kluger Sales for 2009 were 12,848, down 4.36% on 2008 (13,424) Sign of the times i guess.... Interesting.... If anyone is interested...
  14. I'll never have a black car again... way too much work...get's dirty 5 minutes after you wash it... but god they look hot clean :) I actually think the Kluger looks ok in any colour... Graphite seems to be the choice around the Caulfield area in Vic... Silver is easily the easiest colour to maintain, always looks clean and it doesn't show up light scratches...
  15. Hi Guys, I'm not sure what the best option is, but what are the best and most competive rates you have found? E.g. I found a very competitive rate via Alphera Financial Services (i believe they are a subsidiary of BMW Fin Services)... What are the cheapest rates others have found? Are Toyota competitive with their rates? we are about to buy a Grande 2WD....
