  1. Try this from SD:

10 minutes with the AC OFF and the rear demister OFF

10 minutes with the AC OFF but turn the rear demister ON

10 minutes with the AC ON and the rear demister OFF

10 minutes with the AC ON and the rear demister ON

what??? this had to be done??? how come i missed this post???

i just reset the ecu and then its running now with no problems...

That what you need to do to set the idle for the power fc. Though It may just do the trick or help a little either way. I wouldn't think you need to do anything for the stock ecu I did nothing when I put my Ted one on no problems there

  2. I'm going to have a crack at installing this thing on the weekend and wanted some help.

Not for the actual install but after it has been installed.

The removal of the old piping and the installation of the new one looks relatively straight forward.

But once it is installed what do I need to do so the ecu can recognise the new part.

I remember CES telling me to leave the engine running for 15 minutes before revving it or something along those lines.

If you can help me with this or any troubles you had along the way with the old piping or the new one, that would be awesome.

    Thanks

  3. those prices seem to be alright... but if ur rebuilding the box, might as well chuck a lsd in it too :P

thats what i was thinking but a little out my price range right now...

Those prices are cheap, I take it the box is already out then?

3rd gear synchro is a pretty common problem with the 6 speed box. Luckily the parts are cheap for the box since it's been around for 20 years or so in one form or another.

nah the whole car is back together

    20 years really?

  4. Hey All

Just upgraded the clutch and flywheel hopping it would fix the problem with 3rd gear ( crunches all the time even just sitting there ) but no such luck. The guys at the shop told me it would be the syncro. to replace just 1 syncro would cost $600 or the rebuild the whole box with new beaings and syncros $1200.

Do these prices sound right? they seam fair to me.

If i go ahead and do the whole box is there anything elese i can do to streghten it while there there?

Any sugestions as i only want to do this once.

    Cheers

  5. got the new clutch and flywheel in yesterday :) was hoping it would fix the constant crunch into 3rd. but looks like its the syncro. does this sound right? got quoted $600 to fix or $1200 for full rebuild? thoughts anyone??

  6. i know every dyno varies but that figure is weak!

drivability shouldnt be that bad! did 999 automotive tune it? i wouldnt let them near my car.

maybe after a retune with someone reputable should be sweet?

999 tuned it. Is that a bad thing? Call matt at pits and will get him to tune it from scratch if need be just got to get this clutch replaced

  7. every Dyno varies in readings im sure the drivability of the car is quite significantly different to a stock one!

To be honest drivability is shocking. maybe its just coz i need SD's harness but idle is really rough and stalls a fair bit and need heaps high revs to take off and really jerky at certain rev's. will be getting re tuned asap see if that makes a difference.

I've been wanting to get some better looking lights for a while, haven't really been able to find any.

EBay cost like 150 for the pair.
