What engine oil to use in the sportivo?

i always used mobil 1 5w-30
whats the diff between synthetics and the rest. need to change my oil tomorrow in prep for a track day and forget to ask my mechanic what he uses!
use hpr5 at least. i use sin5. penrite make good oils at a reasonable price
