Went to pedders this morning and apparently they only do a coilover set $2100 fitted. I was under the impression that they did a spring and shock combo fitted for roughly $800 - $1000. Anyone had any experiences?

If one side is broken move the middle one to the edges that will keep it from hanging down on the sides.

Do you work around moorooka near tint a car & Mitsubishi? seen your car around there a few times. Also nice wheels i used to have them on my old car but thought they would look a little wierd on a white car so got rid of them.

Hi there guys been a member for over a week now :D and thought since i got my car now its time for some photos although due to the weather in Brisbane at the moment shes not clean . I Put a deposit down on monday afternoon and what seems like a year saturday finally came along and was time for pick up.

Its an 08 Sportivo SX6 stock standard at the moment.

Now after only owning the car for 2 hrs i already had the factory headunit out replacing with my beloved alpine 502.

My plans are to install all my audio gear + remote start alarm :D

Amps: Tru Tech billet B-4100 & arc audio ks 300.2

Front speakers: Dyn audio esotar2 E110 tweeters and E650 woofers

Sub: Image Dynamics idq 12" will be fibreglassed into one of the rear qtrs

Tomorrow afternoon i will be flush mounting my camera in between the number plate lights so you just see it sticking out a fraction.

Was wondering if anyone knew whether the stock radio/cd player in an 06 hilux is the standard 'double din' size? I am looking to upgrade and hoping that a new double din stereo will slot in with no major issues and without the need of a mounting/converting bracket. Have not been able to find a conclusive answer yet!

You will need what they call ears, they screw onto the side of your double din unit to fill in the gap it leaves but it does how ever make the unit sit out very far if you google " Mr dvd" have a look through the galleries for the hilux photos where they are sunk back to sit flush this requires modding the factory brackets and making a custom surround but looks alot more professional then the ears.

Try googling Vinyl Doctor we use them at work, as we make custom facias out of mdf to house navigation units into cars such as porche, jag, new prados ect.

I myself will be hopefully be picking up my sportivo this weekend and has few minor marks similar to yours which i will be getting him to touch up. From what i understand there a few guy that go under the Vinyl doctor name if i remember tomorrow i will get the number for the guy we use as his colour match is spot on compared to others when he is unavailable.

Also how a few guys are saying how you masked it up did the chrome strips come off or you masked them up?

Thanks havnt taken delivery yet, awaiting racq report as it missed one service so i am abit worried. I have been told buy one person that you can miss a service because the engines are that reliable and someone else that it could give problems down the track.

I have just put a deposit on a 08 White Sportivo SX6 Will hopefully be picking it up Saturday. Stock as a rock at the moment but i will be adding

Alpine 502, nav, tv tuner, camera all waiting to go in, then eventually wheels although i like the kappas so will make an enquiry about them.

Very good read will help me out alot when i finally get my sportivo.

I would just like to add that for factory steering wheel controls if you buy the Eclipse 726EA it has to wires that you connect to the factory steering wheel controls and it should work straight away if it doesnt it takes 1 min to program. Also there is a device called swi-jack that works with alpines 502 which will also give you steering wheel controls.

in my suburb there are many different cop cars there are f6's, fiats, echos,territories and the bew holdens but the aurion cop car is the nicest looking cop car

Wonder what the cops use the echos for. Would be a laugh seeing one of them done up with all the stickers and lights.
