  1. that's what i've been wondering about too, but i've checked B.Boss's website, it ain't part of their product lineup... <_<

Looks very much like the HR2 model wheel made by MRR wheels.

You can see it here : http://www.mrrwheels.com/hr2.html

PS - Also note that many of the B.Boss wheels seem to be based on many of the MRR designs (or vice versa).

  2. Also, I am wondering if you have heard of the interior lighting illumination upgrade that has been released for the 09 facelift. I bought the kit today from toyota hillcrest for 125, but it has no instructions at all lol... im not even sure what its meant to look like once its installed..

Hi there, is the interior lighting illumination you mentioned the same as in the Aurion Accessories page at http://www.toyota.com.au/aurion/accessories/interior?

If so, does it come with lighting for the front and rear? What comes with the kit? Pic would be great.

    Cheers

  3. Hey, nah i am talking about the bottom grill i took a short cut tho

you reach down past the top grill to the bottom grill and you can slip it out, much eaiser than taking the whole bottom bit off

Good one dude...you must have long arms and more patience than me.

    Cheers Michael

  4. sorry for the noob question, but how do u take the bottom grill out? (i got a zr6)

i would take a look at it myself but its in the shop =[

this is the way i did it.

    open up the bonnet

    take that black plastic

reach down and unclip the grill

    Hi there...

stedyedy...think you are talking about the top grill.

    ApBPaul...here's how I did mine.

    1) Crawl underneath the car and unscrew the two plastic panels under the engine.

There's approx 5-6 screws in each and about 3-4 plastic clips which push in (use

a screwdriver to pry them out).

    2) Once the guards are away, reach in and unclip the 6-8 clips holding the lower part

of the lower grill in place. They should pull straight back, but you may need a flat

bladed screwdriver for a couple of them.

    3) Whilst holding the bottom section out, work out the clips on top of the lower grill.

Again you may need a flat bladed screwdriver to help you here.

    4) Once all clips undone, simply lower and turn the grill to manoeuvre it out the

    bottom under the front spoiler.

For meshing, I simply took my time and measured and trimmed by placing the mesh on top and working away at it. You can cable tie the mesh to the lower grill without drilling any holes and it will end up looking really neat. Any rough edges and cable ties will generally be hidden around the edge of the lower grill which gets tucked up behind the spoiler when in place.

    Hope this all makes sense.

    Here's what mine looked like.

Happy meshing...show us how it turns out.

    Cheers Michael

  5. ahahaha damnit..i thought i was gonna give u guys a surprise post..wouldnt be a surprise anymore now <_< i though i'd give myself a challenge by putting 22's on an aurion..most of the tyre guys i called in the eastern state and wa thought i was outta my mind when i said i want 22's for this car LOL

Sorry to steal your thunder DRE. :whistling:

I got a bit excited that I'd recognised your car and thought everyone should see how unique your setup is.

    Good work dude...

  6. ... Toyota gave me a call today to tell me that all my suspension components have now arrived.

The other three springs and shocks turned up a lot quicker than I expected. Look forward to you being in town long enough to get them on for me to look at. :spiteful:

  7. Not sure on how to approach the lower grill, drilling holes in things was never something I have been comfortable with...

I didn't have to drill any holes to mount the mesh in my lower grill. The mesh is mounted in front of the existing (removable) lower air intake section and cable tied on to the existing bars on the intake. Works well and you can hardly see the ties.

Good work! I dont really get how you did it but it looks clean. My only crit is that I'm not a fan of how shiny the mesh it. I personally thnk a matte silver (or light grey) would look better.

I think it is a pretty clean install...like to generally take my time with these things. Know what you mean about the shiny mesh. It's not as shiny as I thought it would be. I would have preferred a matte finish, but there were only 4 choices at Autobarn where I got it; black, blue, red and silver.

Anyway I'm sure at some stage I'll experiment with it again. Time to move to the next thing which is probably new 19 inch wheels and lowering. :yahoo:

  8. michael: that looks great man! would be interested to see it in real life though... meshing always comes out different in pictures in my experience..

on another note... holy crap you've got a wide garage... a prado and an aurion and you can still comfortably walk around the cars...

or maybe its just cause we have so much crap in our garage!!

    Hey Ash

Will see if I can convince the wife I can come out this Thursday if you are going to be around.

Yeah, try to keep the garage tidy, so gives heaps of room to get around, but it is a good size. Can get around all sides of both cars.

  9. Not sure on how to approach the lower grill, drilling holes in things was never something I have been comfortable with...

  10. ^ Wow. I completely missed when you got yourself a mesh grill. The silver looks quite nice. Gives it a machine look.

Yeah, picked up the grill and eyelids courtesy of Ari. Good timing too given the difficulties it seems people are having getting them from the usual haunts.

Put them on the day before I went away for work the end of August (and you in Melbourne), but after the last meet I had been to (has it really been that long).

  11. hi all i'm milesy

i'm a west aust live in the great southern region

i drive a VZ commadoor

    but realy want a 1977 celica mustang GT :D :D B)

    Hi Milesy

Welcome aboard!!! I used to own a few commodores, so won't hold that against you :D

Also my very first car was an RA23 (1977) Celica. Not the liftback, but the coupe if that's what you are calling the mustang. Wasn't a GT but I did want to put the 18RG engine (which the GT had) in it. Never got around to it.

Was a great car and I knew every nut and bolt on it. Unfortunately I don't have it anymore.

If I can dig up some piccies and get them scanned, I'll put one up.

    Cheers mate

  12. Hi Guys

Been interstate for work for the last couple of weeks, but just before I went away I fitted my mesh grill and eyelids (thanks for supplying them AUR30N). Not the best photo, but here it is.

    Grill and Eyelids

Being a Sportivo, am thinking about leaving the grill surround and eyelids black (like DJKOR), but will see what happens...can always experiment.

    Thoughts????

    Cheers

    Michael

  13. I have done a bit of search and could not find the answer

Is there a way to turn off the "I agree" message and the requirement to press I agree on the screen at start up?

    Hi there,

If you're talking about the Toyota Factory unit, then there is a way. The Vaistech (www.vaistech.com) iPod integration products will do this in addition to allowing you to control and play an iPod with your factory stereo.

Basically, the I Agree screen comes up, but the unit automatically selects the "I Agree" button after about one second without you having to do so.

If you don't want the iPod functionality, it may be an expensive button pusher, but as an iPod integration product with fantastic sound, you can't go past this product.

I have the SLi in my Prado and it works a treat.

    Cheers

    Michael
