  1. I seen this car in person. Looks really good. I didn't realise you were on the forum till now. Haha, i see your car parked at CPP in the city all the time now. You've prob seen me in my Yaris. Hehe. :toast:

i love seeing the s/c, turbo yaris's on utube

wouldnt mind getting a yaris as everyday, what i save on fuel i can use on parking lol

  2. Nice one mate,i like your idea with the grille looks sweet. :D

also looks much cleaner without the badges, not to sure about the nightshade eyelids, can you remove that stuff if needed?

anyway cars looking a treat, well done

yep rag and turpentine :), so u can change the eyelids design anytime

i was thinking of using black contact from kmart too, but will try vht nite shades first see how it goes

  3. Hi all stock aurion and TRD owners

I would like some feedback on regards to putting the trd front on my stock zr6

would this be a good cosmetic mod or will i get flamed on for trying to make my car look like a TRD

I have only seen 1 white trd aurion in perth and it looked awesome and generally i like the TRD front

I'm hoping if i get some positive feedback i will purchase the front kit from carmate and get my zr6 to look like those attached

lastly is the carmate version an exact copy of the real one?

    thanks in advance

I cracked the bottom grey part of my bumper on my TRD the other day. I'm going to get it replaced under insurance. If I can keep the original, I'll let you know. I'm sure it'd be fine after a little plastic welding, If interested we could talk business.

Probably won't happen for a couple of weeks yet though.

oh wow your from perth too

  4. Hey guys,

In about 3-4 months time, I will be buying a new car. On my list are:

Hyundai i45 sedan (got direct injection engine and betters Camry in terms of power plus 5-10 year warranty)

Suzuki Kisashi sedan(reliability plus direct injection engine)

Mitsubishi Lancer VRX sedan (driveaway cheap at 28k instead of 34k for MY10 vehicles plus 5-10 year warranty)

Mazda 6 Classic hatch (newer model but may get a demo vehicle for cheap prices instead)

Ford Mondeo diesel Zetec wagon (pricing is unknown if I can get demo vehicle plus roomy interior)

Toyota Aurion Touring sedan (might get ATX but not that keen on it)

Originally my list was to be:

Holden Commodore SV6 wagon MY10 (now dumped after hearing horror stories about parts falling apart and the fact my cousin just dumped it)

Ford Falcon FG XR6 sedan (dumped after a friend said he had problems since day 1 after he bought it new)

Mitsubishi 380 sedan (5-10 year warranty was finished so you get to have just 2 years used warranty instead and parts are not available anymore for it so dumped it)

    Toyota Aurion ATX sedan

You may notice that I have downsized to medium sized cars except for Toyota Aurion.

    Now my questions are:

What does Toyota Aurion Touring drive like? Is it heaps better than ATX?

How does the dual climate go? Any better than say ATX?

Any options on it that I should look for to make it $32 - 34 k driveway?

    Cheers

    Dave

Suzuki Kisashi V6 when/if it comes out ;), but not in the next 3-4 months lol

  6. Where can I source them within Australia, if possible?

Your local Toyota dealer. Expect to pay through the nose, because they aren't cheap. Like, to the tune of 3 or 4 hundred bucks for each piece, so, that times 4.

Only alternative is the Thai Hybrid Camry ones which a few here have, which are genuine Toyota, and can be had for around $350 plus shipping. These ones are slightly different to our facelift Sportivo ones in that the have a slight blue tinge and a small red section, as opposed to the Aus ones which are all clear. You have to order from RStyleRacing (or you may find some elsewhere online, but still unlikely to be from Aus) unless somebody here wants to part with their set.

    thanks :)
