  2. hey guys , some time ago i removed my rear toyota badge and decided to spray it matte black. and to put it on back on i used some epoxy to stick it back on .

being scared that the badge might fall off i used some sticky tape to hold it. but when i removed the sticker tape the paint came off it as well <_< .

so i decided to put some sticky tape around it and spray the badge while its on my car and missed to sticky tape some bits in between the badges.

now at the moment in the middle of the toyota badge theres bit of matte black overspray -.- .

my question is how would i remove the badge ? heat gun and pill it off?

also how would i remove the overspray ? sand it down and cut and polish?

    thanks in advance guys !

  3. the front sway from whiteline isnt much difference to the stock zze123 one anyways. thats why they never bothered to make one for our stivos. if i were u just get a stock swaybar to aviod any hassles and ur knocking issue and sell off the whiteline to a zze122 owner...

btw... did u actually look under ur car to see if it is the whiteline sway bar? toyota could be talking a load of bullcrap. FYI, whiteline bar is a grey colour. stock is just black.

yep checked underneath and i saw a grey bar underneath it

would it be hard to take it off and replace it with a stock one?

anyone got a stock front sway bar for sale haha :spiteful:

  4. hey guys ,

ever since i got my car ive had this knocking noise coming from the front right side of my car everytime i go over a bump when turning right.

took it to toyota for a service and they discovered that the front sway bar wasnt a stock one but it was a heavy duty whiteline one ?

he told me it didnt fit the car properly and everytime i would go over a bump the underbody would hit into the sway bar.

anyone know if this could be true ? and if theres anyway to keep the sway bar and get rid of the noise .

    thanks in advance

  5. haha all good guys !

tried it this morning when theres actually light!

but yeah got the girlfriends car and tried it , it worked :)

would putting the connectors on in a order matter or not?

(eg. positive your car then positive their car etc.)

  6. hey guys ,

so today i was fixing my audio in my car and turned the car on and off while i was doing it everything was all good.

Then when i came back 5-6 hours later i couldnt unlock my car i assumed the key battery died i opened the boot and saw that my amp was on .

then i realised battery died. i called my mate to help me out he has a civic eg tried jump starting it, didnt work. topped up the water as it was empty.

After that i tried my mum camry left for a good 5-10 mins while trying to turn it on in between still nothing. it just makes a clicking sound now.

inside lights turn on , headlights dont work but my high beams work ( i have HIDs if that counts.

no idea what the problem is , would it be the battery? alternator? or i need a stronger car to jump start?

    any input will do.

    thanks guys

  7. hey guys i just got quoted from various exhaust shops to get my ported stock headers installed from 300-$400?

    is this average price?

anyone got any recommended exhaust places that will install for cheap in western suburbs in melbourne?

    cheers.

  8. hey mate,

i just got my headers ported from head2head just last week. Peter is a top bloke knows alot about cars.

Everytime i called up it was only peter that answered the phone, so im assuming its only him lol.

    head2heads number is 9551 9083 .

as for the performance increase from headers, i havent gotten around to installing it yet :(

  9. hey guys,

i just recently got my headers ported from Head2head :) . Pete recommended to get the headers heat wrapped before putting them on.

my question is, i was doing some reading that heat wrapping headers might rust and crack the headers?

can anyone confirm it or if its worth heat wrapping?

  10. hey guys,

when i got my cai it came with a battered pod filter ( dents probably from previous owners foglights etc.)

well question is should i replace it? would it matter if i just kept it?

also any recommendations of which pod filter to get if i needed to change?

    cheers.
