  1. saw your car this morning mate :) just past the sunshine rails.

ummm increased the size to 2.5" cost me like 380 cos they attached a muffler on it as well. but i think just custom catback was like 280-300 i believe.

pipe wasnt mandrel bend just got it pressed. yeah everything look like it was good.

Car feels better to drive tho easier to take off etc.

  2. hey guys

today i just got my custom catback done at bros exhaust. after it was done i didnt realise the muffler the gave me ( twin tip one) was too loud.

the catback was mild steel, press bent and has 1 hot dog in it.

was asking to make my car abit more quiet could i just add another hot dog to the system or would that be to expensive ?

or just get the muffler changed?

    thanks .

  3. Problem fixed! :). thanks for all the advice guys.

also why do you have to block the vsv hoses?

does it matter if i leave it connected?

    Fixed it, nice!

    What was wrong with it?

one of the wires on the MAF sensor was came off, the soldering came off when i was taking it off lol

  4. ok just discovered today that the previous owner of my car had some wires that were soldered on the MAF sensor,

and saw that one of the wires was not soldered together probably fall apart when i was taking it off.

you guys reckon it could a possibility?

  5. Did i have to block off any hoses ?cos i just connected it all in.

also my car idles at 1100 if this helps.

Haha ill tell him next time when we're taking a look at it.

i buy the cleaning products from autobarn for the MAF sensor?

    thanks for advice guys.

  6. Have you reset the ECU?

Resetting the ECU: Take the (-) terminal off the battery for 1-2hrs. Reconnect and start the car. Let the car warm up to normal operating temps, then take the car for a 30-60 mins cruise.

    Past that, consult an expert

does it matter if i took - and + terminal off for like 15 mins? would it make a big difference?

was thinking of taking it back to toyota but since i modified the engine ? would that void warranty

    cheers.

  9. alrighty guys. tried new things.

i got a spare amp and decided to test if it was my amp that was the problem.

So i hooked it up testing 1 speaker at a time i put the volume up at how normally i would listen to my music.

there was music coming out of it but it wasnt as loud as it use to be.

also when i tested my splits there was no music coming from my tweeters?

    hope this info helps .

  10. hey guys,

today when i was driving home from work i was listening to my music at volume that i would usually listen to i took a turn and then my speakers just turned off or something but my sub was still on.

When i got home i checked if everything was connected and it was. The amp that was running my speakers had power going into it but it still didnt work?.

Then just now checked it out again neither of my amps work now? does anyone know whats wrong with it? it was fairly hot today in melbourne when i touched the amp it was quite warm if that has anything to do with it.

  11. So many questions hehe. Alrighty i haven't put the exhaust on yet, still deciding which one to get. any recommendations on which one s10 or s12 for twinloop? and what size inlets? or they both do the same job lol.

Also for the resonators/hot dogs should i just get an xforce one as well? not sure about these things :S or use my stock resonator?

lol my stockies look ugly they get noticeably dirty was thinking of just putting rims on it to be cool B) bahahaha.

  12. Hey guys,

ive been wanting to put an exhaust on my sportivo, and today i went to get a quote from Bros Exhaust in melbourne for a custom catback and increasing the piping to 2.5' for $290ish.

and my question is , is it worth it? and for a muffler tip should i get a custom one they provide or get an xforce muffler? any recommendations on which xforce muffler i should get?

Also i want to lower my car as well :) been thinking of which to get king spring lows or super lows. There are two different rims i might put on if it helps.

the black ones are 17" TIG Rims - 4x100/4x114.3.

Any input from your guys would help alot.

    Thanks heaps guys.

  13. Hey guys,

i know this probably been asked many times but i just want to clarify something,

ive been looking at an injen cai on ebay

and was wondering does it matter if i buy :

Injen Cold Air Intake - 02-03 Matrix XRS RD2075P OR

Injen Cold Air Intake - 2004 Matrix XRS RD2076BLK

Do they provide the same thing and would it fit in my '05 sportivo?

i was thinking of just getting the RD2076BLK

as the piping is black making it looking stocky :S.

    kinds regards.

  14. I tried connecting my rear speakers onto the same channel as my splits are connected on. Same problem it cuts out when i turn up the volume.

I also tried connecting the rears to a different channel but the channel B has no RCA cable connecting to it.

Would i have to but a new head unit with 3 RCA pre out. My current head unit only has 2 which connects to the channel A on one of the amps and the other to my sub amp.

  15. Hey guys ,

Im trying to run my front splits and my rear speakers of an amp. I conneceted the front splits and they work perfectly,

but when i connect the rear speaker cables onto the amp the speakers cutoff and the sub is still playing.

The specs of the amp that im running the speakers off are:

    GM-6300F

4-Channel Power Amplifier with 600 Watts Max. Power

    Bridgeable 4/3/2 Channel Capability

    4 Channel Crossovers (HPF/LPF)

    Speaker Level Inputs

    60 Watts x 4, at 4 ohms <= 1% THD+N

    150 Watts x 2, at 4 ohms BRIDGE <= 1% THD+N

80 dBA Signal-to-Noise Ratio (Reference: 1 Watt Output)

My splits are Alpine SPR-17s and my rears are sps-600.

My headunit is a Pioneer DEH-3100UB

And i was wondering if the problem was the amp or did i need a new headunt?

    Cheers,

    Peter.
