  1. Hi guys,

I just joined forum today but have read for a long long time. I have read debate about ces product before. It sounds good and all but the people who are advertising for them are obviously abusing their admin power. Anyone can see that. It's good they are not doing it again.

One more thing, the threadstarter is stupid like hell. I have been reading this forum for a long time dude, and you should know ces word will always bring debate and flaming so why you create stupid ces thread again? You say you dont want trouble, yeah right... full of sh|t my friend.

I dont know anyone here but this is a great and friendly forum. Nice to meet you all.

p.s and why the hell should anyone listen to you (sportivo_rice) jacka$$?

    / Dan

    ^^^hahaha.. one post

    your a gimp!!!

    back to your corner

  2. agreed Lucio

man this argument never fails to trip me out...

a CES exhaust is a piece of pipe (stainless steel mind you) bent to the the ZZE chassis along with a high flow muffler (also stainless), no matter how brilliant this system is, it can only do so much for the N/A 2zz. Just about anything after market WILL be better than stock (assuming it wasnt made by a monkey) so i really don't think there is much of an argument regarding exhaust systems with these cars while N/A, with exception to perhaps pipe diameter and header setout. Even the differences here are negligable i bet. Personally, i would say in the end it comes down to what you want to spend and what level of "polish" you want on your mods.

And the 1/4...stripping is for sissies, to get real cred, you need to go street trim.

so a 8 inch pipe from cat back will be better than stock?? we could also put 3 hotdogs in to quite it down and then match it with a 15inch cannon since that would be the best noise choice???????

  3. just went today.. there going to diagnose it and if they say that the alternator was under to much strain due to audio components then no warranty will be done on it.. to my knowledge an alternator can only put out as much as it was build to and its job is to charge the battery so why should there be an issue at all

  4. discovered after putting my underbody cooling panel last week that i had a sensational whine coming from my engine bay.. later on as in 3-4days my battery light came on.. hence thought battery.. decided what the hell called RACQ to get a battery but it turns out the alternator is goonskies and hutch... off to lexus.. im presuming that this will all be covered as warranty item due to no modifications can alter the job of an alternator.. needless to say not happy janice

  5. have never had an issue...

    1. open hood and spray water in to get rid of excess dirt and dust

    2. spray degresser on metal surfaces

    3. spray with water off

    4. tyre foam every where to make your engine have a christmas setting.

    5. chamois off after a while..

engine bay shines and have never had an issue.. and cai is shielded to an extent..

    No Plastic bag?

No plastic bag,, your not spraying that much liquid into the engine bay hence even if a small amount makes it to your filter on the CAI its not going to make it up the piping... only note is if you have an aftermarket alarm i believe you will need to bag that and also if you have coilover you need to ensure not to get fluid down the top mounts..

  6. i got pulled over for my lcd screens in my car on saturday, his reason: coz it was illegal to have moving motions and if my handbrake is up than my unit must be off. Took my rego down and said he likes sportivos and he'll remember mine so i better go fix it.

    What a joke!

well yeah,, you would get pulled over as it is illegal... thats why when installed they are linked to the handbrake such that when the handbrake is disengaged the unit displays the start up signal... which can be overiden with a sneaky switch..

  7. /sits and waits for someone to post the contents of a MSN conversation....

    :P

    :P :P

i dont wanna get that person in trouble

Pretty sure im going to get a set of these xtractors at some stage.... if it makes you feel good they look really shiney.. and thats always good when your not even going to see them.. but just knowing that its shiney makes me feel good

^^ hehe.. i swear its all about high performance...

  8. the spacers on the side of the head deck either wise known as butterflies can be sourced from most audio places,, jb hi fi will get them for you and you wont pay $17 each.. i recall walking in and out with them in my hand for the measily sum of 0.00

  9. RICE FACTOR,,, I've got one in the car at the moment with full audio setup.. if its your audio thats causing the flickering of the lights.. get a cap will sort that out.. plus a nice odyessey battery will also help.. earthing wires are already in the car.. the raizin in my mind now has minimal to no effect on the car...

  10. another option would be the thursday nights seven 2 eleven (ie. 7pm to 11pm)

i understand the next day is also a working day but just a thought...

kyle n myself went out there last night, and as there wasnt too many cars i managed to get in about 6 or 7 runs...

plus the cold temperature is also sumthing to enjoy, however the only drawback is that as the night goes on, there tends to be some dew on the track....

I like this idea wei child... i'd be down.. clearly dont want to drive all that way to get a measily 1-2 runs...

  11. hello ladies and gents,,

i have been able to source a safc-II for a very competitive price and am wanting to know if i could put this into the sportivo (2zz-ge) i only ask due to the fact that on the Apexi website the cars engine is not listed as compatiable although looking on the celica sites many people have done it and achieved an odd 10bhp during lift... rumours...

if anyone knows if it can be done or you have any relivant info it would be greatly appreciated..

    thank you

    Greg

  12. (they dont perform in the colder places)

^^^^ strange comment,, pretty sure that a cold air intake. would respond alot better in colder climates.. denser air and all that but hey.. if we are going to argue about who's air is better for performance i'd be almost certain the colder areas of Australia would get the thumbs up... not hot old QLD
