  1. Did anyonr actually get their globes via toyota for the cheaper values mentioned? As i popped past two dealerships today (Adelaide) and both quoted identicsl $339.00 prices per globe. Still blows me mind that high volume manufacturer would use such ridiculous priced items (or attempt to rip their customers off)
  2. Does anyone require some replacement clips for locking rods? I had one fail in the rear seat latch of my ZRE hatch - Toyota do not sell them separately (so I was told by CMI) but could buy a whole lock assembly for $250. So I got a pack of Lefts and Rights off ebay, waited a few weeks for snail mail and now i have lots more than I have a use for. Free just have to pay postage. If you are local: pick up will work fine (Local = Adelaide) if you are interstate: I'd just want you to mail me a stamped and self-addressed envelope and i'll send some back. What are stamps now, $0.70? so it'll cost you $1.40 all up. PM me - I don't get on here often but should get alerted to a PM via email. Qty available - 8 Lefts, 8 Rights. Please don't be greedy and want them all.
  3. Get in an American vehicle, like a jeep grant Cherokee for example. Fk me, it's does.at least 3 to 4 different beep sequences when you first start it up. Now that's annoying, I'm not fussed about the beeps reminding me to belt up or shut the door :) Btw I have the Levin ZR, doesn't beep that much.
  4. Mate if you do end up parting out please do get in touch... Have an 08 levin ZR same colour in Adelaide.
  5. up till now, Toyota. But as we have a family mechanic (works for a leading Holden dealership) who works for peanuts on weekendds, he'll be taking over duties as he has already done for our commonwhore dog kennel. And grade of oil no idea - they fail to print that on the windscreen label
  6. not really... but its the daily driver. M orning Commute is a pretty cruisy 45minute drive with little start/stop action. Drive home is a different story - hour and bit of start/stop, heavy (for adelaide) congestion around the edge of the city. Also pulling up south road or cement hill (brighton road), and the odd nob accel. off the line. The commodore sits in the driveway all week as its alot thristier on petrol and also has a few little issues needing to be resolved... so the corolla gets used alot. I think we've put on 30k in 12 months - very rough guestimate as I cant remember when I bought it. Prob similar time to myself joining this lovely place.
  7. I think it used 1l in 8,000km's... and i thought that was crazy seeing that its not dropping anything at all, and i do not ever notice blue clouds on my rear horizon. Agreed: 1l per 1000km's is mental. That is an oil filter
  8. Are you flippin serious??? I might have to have a read of it :) Ok... well with that helpful information I am now less worried, but ****** that does seem excessive even if its all normal.
  9. At work so cant check plugs but quickly checked the air filter and air-box - no residue. Will get our family mechanic to give it a proper look over as its due for a service within 1500 km's... if its rings, it may get traded in.
  10. Howdy! I have a curious issue, wondering if its a common one &/or something to be seriously worried about. The last two times the car is coming up towards being due for a service, at the 8-9k mark, I get my engine 'low oil' warning when I brake to a stop, check it and yep, not even reading on the dipstick. WTF? Happened again this morning and it took near 1.5ltrs of oil to make it read on the dipstick. Do these ZRE corollas eat oil? Does the genuine Toyota oil magically vanish? I'm very sure I'm not leaving a single drop of oil on the ground when parked, and dont notice and blue clouds as I accelerate off the lights. The rolla is only upto 78,000km's, and I and the mrs dont drive it like maniacs as its the daily driver.
