Spent about 3 hours trying to get a new battery for my car, what a waste of time. Then struggled to put the new rear wiper blade on.

Hopefully i wont be working so i can come, i will know closer to the date

Picked my car up from my brothers (he took it to toyota for the major). I always get concerned something might go wrong, but it was all good! and cheap. Im happy :D just need to get a new battery sometime this week.

Just a quick update. A mate of mine who worked at a panel repair shop had a look at it for me to get a rough price on repair. Fortunately it was only paint damage and only needs a respray. So then i went over to see the other driver. He said no to $450 for repairing it and was abit rude i think, so im about to call my insurance up and go through it that way. I think this is the best way? im abit stressed by just talking to him so i would make mistakes. My insurance can fix it :)

Thanks Tash and Redsportivo, you both showed me different ways to go around this. I will go over and have a proper talk to the other driver tomorrow and see what he says. Although im really leading towards going through insurance because as Tash said, i dont want things to go wrong. He seemed like an alright person and probably has comprehensive car insurance, so maybe it would be nice to reduce the costs to him. I figured half of this because we were in the CBD, he was driving a newer Lexus IS250, was in a suit and said it was his fault. In the end i want the car back to normal without me having to waste my own time. I dont have time for any of this.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I dont think i can do much about it today, i'll have to take tomorrow off to get things going because i dont want it to take a long time. I might get a few quotes at first but most likely will just go through insurance so its done correctly. Its also annoying because i need to get the car booked in for service too, sigh.

Contact him and inform him the damages go get your quote today seeing how much the repair is if hes not happy and not willing to pay,Inform him that you will be going through insurance, Then Just tel your insurance give them his details and they will handle it but if its just a bumper scratch its just a respray on the back bar. For example i would tell you go get a quote and pay for the damaged i made, but you get some people out there that will ignore you and forget it happened, and if its been to late to go thru insurance your screwed in the long wrong, so if your going to help the guy out and hes a nice guy tel him its the cheapest way for him or insurance will slap him with a big fat access and fee's on top :)

I just spoke to my brother about it, he said almost what you did. Its just a real pain because im usually working 6-7 days a week. Hopefully i can try get a quote today or tomorrow. I just dont need this.

This morning on the way to work, someone went into the back of me. It wasnt a big hit but theres a deepish scratch mark and another smaller one. Ive never been in this situation before and i really didnt expect it to make any damage at all.

I took his licence details and rego plate, but i didnt manage to take a photo of his car - only realised after i left. ergh. It was a t intersection with a stop sign. As i went to stop he kept going and bumped me, even even said it was his fault so i dont think there will be problems.

But what im asking, where do i go from this? Should i get a quote for the repair and contact him?

I really hate it at night and you overtake someone, and go back into the left lane and you get high beam into all you mirrors. I had that about 5 times on the way back from melbourne.. Really pisses me off.. and what can you do to show you anger to the person? not much.

Surely you have some kind of rubbish rolling around in your car, when you're in front of them, do a little bit of weight reduction... if you catch my drift, windows being open is essential

Had to let you guys go without me for the drive home. Plastic in the right front guard wad rubbing too much after overtaking the white Hyundai Getz so had to stop and cut part of it off.

I managed to somehow get out of work tomorrow.. but im really dead tired from driving back from melbourne last night. Just dont know if i want to drive a long distance .. hmm who wants to take me? im looking at you sean because i know your not too far away from me. hahah jokes!

I actually saw a lady fall over the other day while i was in the car. I didnt think i had to get out to help, she didnt seem to hurt herself much. Although the construction worker who was right infront of her did NOTHING. Just stayed leaning against the pole.

Shouldnt you dry out the water/take it out before you seal it up?

No he didnt have his lights on or anything. If it was a two lane road i wouldnt have changed lanes at all because yes he probably has somewhere important to be. As i was overtaking the other car, there was still another lane to the right for him to overtake me which is why i dont understand.. anyway just a odd situation ive never seen before

edit: i also felt i needed to overtake because the car infront was not even going 100

I was driving along the motorway at 110 right on the speed limit and i saw a Police motorcycle coming up behind me. Out of 4 lanes i was in the second to the left. I indicated to overtake the car infront of me, changed lanes and no way did i cut him off. Then he gets much closer behind me and im looking in the rear view mirror at him........ hes shaking his head at me. Then he goes to overtake me and i look across and hes still shaking his head at me.. what the hell did i do wrong? didnt indicate enough, came out of the lane too quickly or do something stupid i didnt notice?
