  1. I work for a Toyota dealership. It was a company car, a demonstrator, they usually get sold once they hit about 6000kms.
  2. I could do one for $59,500 on the road.
  3. Nice choice. I had one of those as a demonstrator when they were available, and it was a fantastic car. Probably one of the only drive cars I've had that I was happy to keep, rather than sell! Good list of features, and if you head into a dealership now you can get the new Gen-Y satellite navigation fitted to replace that stereo for around $1200-$1500. Then the car is pretty well a Presara almost.
  4. How about a ZR6 in the reflex blue with red seats? Dead sexy.
  5. Just in case anyone was curious. 'FT' was dropped from 'FT86' as FT stands for Future Toyota. Obviously now it's here it's longer a future model ;)
  6. I work for Toyota Lilydale. I'm always happy to talk. If you've got a good price already, let me know and I will tell you how good it is or whether I can do better. Send me a PM ;)
  7. Well when you're ready mate, being in Victoria, PM me. I'll look after you. :)
  8. I'm not sure where all the sold out talks come from. As I've mentioned we've got a Red GTS auto coming in first up which is unsold. Though we have sold two GT's prior to launch. Also, the GT will still have 16" alloys, not steelies. Your comment was overly defeatist, simply stating that it must be **** because it's cheap. I would expect someone who is a Toyota enthusiast would be nothing but excited about something like the 86. Lucky you guys have manuals coming! Not sure how we got stuck with an auto but if the auto GTS ends up being our demonstrator I'm going to be disappointed!! LSD is standard on everything but the automatic GT. As for waiting periods, it all depends on what stock is available. Depending on your spec, trans and colour choice there may be a car around, but there also may not. As for waiting times, if you submit an order it should usually take 3-4 months for turnaround from the date you order. However, if there is a massive amount of orders going into the system your order could potentially blow out longer.
  9. Sounds like you Sydneysiders are getting some good deals! I'm offering 2WD KX-R 7seat as one of the cheapest in Melbourne at $38,888 drive away (metallic paint, no accessories).
  10. From memory, there's a storage comparment in front of the gear shifter (bottom of the centre of the dash) which is quite deep, but the power socket is right at the back of it.
  11. I find this comment a little perplexing from a moderator on a Toyota forum. Anyhow, it's clear Toyota wanted to make a statement about the fact it's ready to put some life back into its cars. As for the price indicating something is wrong... line it up on paper between an Ascent Sport Corolla, sure it's rear wheel drive and has a 6 speed shift, but it's $9k dearer for what is an N/A 4cylinder small sedan sized vehicle. It's inclusions and lack of forced induction make it clear to see that $29k is a reasonable price for the car. Me on the other hand, I'm excited about getting a good look at it in person. I'm going to the Toyota training day for it tomorrow and hope to have a red automatic GTS in the dealership by Friday or Monday.
  12. Yeah not a huge fan of the Sportivo. I have a graphite ZR6 on our showroom and the graphite colour certainly makes the front/rear bars look a little less hideous. On the other hand, we also have a graphite Presara and that just looks fantastic. Know which one I'd buy!
  13. Probably because the bumper is different and uses different mounting points?
  14. The system always adds a further 5 days to the date the sales person gets to cover any delays. Under promise, over deliver. ;)

It's disappointing that the whole Atara range has the same alloys, I would have hoped perhaps the SL model would have something to distinguish itself. We have got an Atara S (Ateva) into stock now in wildfire. Great car, amazing reverse camera for a low model car. The interior is just so much of an improvement over its predecessor it's not funny, and the exterior, well I don't mind it at all. We have an Atara SX (Sportivo) coming in next week, graphite in colour with leather interior which we're registering as a demonstrator and will be my new drive car! Woot!
