  1. Excellent lol..cos i just started cleaning them the other day..

im gona have a hard time pulling them apart lol...

i nearly broke my finger the other day rofll

these were originally my coilovers, the first in a corolla and sent from taiwan. i only had them a short time as i sold them to go overseas. the shocks you got are brand new and they would cost $150 each without postage so i think you got a good deal. the guy you bought them from had the shocks as spares. have fun with them!

  2. what's the largest amount of K's anyone has done on their Taiwanese coilovers? I'd be interested to see how many K's they travel before they leak.

I did 70,000 of Brisbane street K's on my custom Koni's and they were good as new when I sold the car. That set was built by fulcrum.

i would not be surprised if that number was only 5,000-10,000

but it would depend on the version of coilovers if you are talking about d2 they have different versions and revised manufacturing where the old products are not as good as the new ones.

also depends on how that person drives their car and whether it was installed correctly and whether it is compressed on the lowest setting

  3. isnt there a button that says *lock* on the autos. maybe its pressed, i have no idea what that button does because i drive manual but it sounds like it has something to do with that. Yea me too gotta have the brake on

if you mean shift lock that is found above the park symbol that releases the shifter. you can also release it by depressing the brake but if that does not work then you should be getting that checked by a mechanic.

i use the shift lock button sometimes. it is helpful when i need to quickly put it into neutral from being parked to roll the car but i cannot use my feet to depress the brake.

  4. sorry i was talking about the sedan. if yours is a hatch i have not seen but my guess is yes you need to remove the plastic trim. you might as well do that and take a look what is behind there for reference. if there is nothing then you could probably pull the boot garnish off from the outside but if you find something is on the back securing it then of course you need to remove it to free the boot garnish.

  5. i have not used whiteline myself but i have seen their stuff and feel you can go for better japan parts for that price. for comparison trd rear sway is $200 though they do not make the front sway other brands do like c-one and carbing and they are $220-$250 a piece. check out http://www.okuyama-go.to/new/index.html if you wanna see some carbing. whiteline is quite common as it is easy to get. you may like to get someone to install the front sway bar for you. the rear and struts are easy and would only take a few minutes.
