  1. No not cuz of mods or age etc, this the email my mate got:

    Hi X.

Thanks for confirming the requested details.

I have checked you policy and your excesses.

Just Car Insurance is a specialist insurer offering insurance predominantly for:

    · Drivers under 25 years of age

    · Drivers of privately imported, modified or high performance cars

    · Drivers with previous license suspensions

    · Drivers with less-than-perfect insurance history

    · Driver with modifications and accessories fitted to their cars

As a result, our claim statistics for certain types of cars are higher than standard risk insurers. The additional Vehicle Excess of $900 has been applied to all customers driving a Toyota Sportivo.

Unfortunately we are not able to remove or lower it as it is fixed on all policies, however please bare in mind that you only ever need to pay your excesses in the event of an accident or claim where you are deemed to be responsible.

Your Age Excess will no longer apply after you turn X on the Xth of X 2007.

It would certainly be a shame to lose you to standard insurer.

If you have any further enquiries or would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to contact one of our Customer Relations specialists on 13 13 26 or email us at: contactus@justcarinsurance.com.au

We are open between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 5pm Saturday and 10am to 3pm Sunday, Eastern Standard Time.

    Regards,

  2. Hey my mate just found out that just car insurance are going to charge an additional $900 excess for the corolla sportivo. So that basic $500, age $600 plus vehicle $900 = $2000 excess. I am going to change insurance companies now. I suggest you guys check you insurance and renewal form carefully, they are sneaky.

  3. Hey did a few of runs yesterday racing my mates 250 Ninja (on the track ofcourse). Something went wrong with lift in my car. The first 2 runs lift did not engage properly and hit rev limit at 7K. I was emabarrased. The car was warmed up and had been driving for 10 min and i also hit lift a couple of minutes earlier too. WTF. I just got the car back from service and the car is stock.

On the third run I turned the car off turned it back and then lift was fine. As usual he got me on launch and then I left him like he was standing still when I hit third gear.

Has any1 had this happen before?

  4. Hey guys, I'm new to group buy...please let me know how it works with payment...Also, is it possible to use credit card because that's what i'm intending to pay with?????

How do you pay by credit card into a bank account?

  5. Before you play with the adjustment I would do what VVTLi suggested, swap the bulbs around.

After doing the above I suggest parking your car in front of your garage door. Turn on your lights and look for the top line of your headlights against the garage door. Get some tape out and mark that point. Keep turning the adjustment. If it goes up or doesnt move, try turning the adjustment in the other direction. You should evenually to a low enough point that is reasonable. Then go park say a car length behind another car and adjust your lights till you cant see in their rear window. Go back and park against your garage then try and even up both lights. Then test on the another cars rear window. If you cant see in its all good. If you do then re-adjust your lights.

    Hope that helps.

  6. Tried twisting the knob behind the headlights but the lights still seem like its aiming into the sky :(

Can some1 pin point me in the right direction? or ill get cops high beam me soon :D

    Thanx in advance

keep twisting mate! make sure u've got the right sized screw driver and that the cogs are actually turning.

Careful i over twisted my left/right adjustment and broke it. Had to crack open the headlights and re-glue it. Make sure you are twisting the up/down adjustment (i think its the one closest to the grill but cant remember). It takes a real long time too to get it down since the HIDs point up really high. Also some members ive heard had luck swapping around the HIDs between headlights as some are design to point a ceratin way so you may have them on the wrong side. But yeah I found HIDs are a pain in the backside and went back to stock lights.

  7. Spotted user name "sportivo" Maroondah Highway Mitcham today b4 6pm.

yep, haha, i thought that was you, sorry abit off topic, how much lower did you lower your car? cause it seems to be an ideal height for me

also spotted a black ascent, fully stock, with heaps of brand name stickers on the side, and heaps of toys inside, at boxhill about 4.10pm

I got whiteline control springs @ 35mm drop. They are a good height, since i dont scrap anywhere, however i'm going lower soon with coilovers.

  8. at first we were aiming a 5 ppl

    we have 10!!!! orsm!

i'll be getting the street spec, but track spec is tempting.....

get to me whenever for payment details.

    cheers

Its a pretty good deal and suppose its probably the last major D2 group buy for the ZZE12X series rollas.

  9. man those 068s are looking so hot...

are they for sale? someone should buy them!!

(shameless plug for you - i have a set of them in 17s and white... love them to pieces)

I know the guy that owns them. He is still deciding whether to keep or sell. He wants to go Rays but the 068s look so awsome and they are in perfect nick. A hard decsision. I think he wanted $1100 with good tread falkan 512 tyres.
