  1. Theyd definelty be around 141kw at the engine, you wont really find a stock car doing the same kw at the fly as at the wheels. 30% of power is usally lost from the drivetrain.

    This is mine

    103.3kw stock

    108.4 intake

    115.3 intake and muffler

105.5 intake and muffler different dyno day (wtf)

    111.6. intake only

    110.7 back to stock

So i'd say average mine makes aroung 108Kw at the wheels, which is around a 23% loss through the drivtrain.

I dont know maybe make your own assesment, i reckon its just diffent dynos, temp and maybe fuel (although i always use bp ultimate). The car does feel faster moded, so i'd just say the peak doesnt really change too much.

  2. I have have had a few differnt readings when dynod, stock then modified. The peak power changed everytime. So i wasn't convinced that i was gettign higher peak power readings (i.e. higher than stock, lower than stock, same as stock, seemed to be a +-5kw difference). As i understand other have had this happen too. So I just put it down to the dyno and air temp giving me higher and lower peak readings at the time dynoed. Although the car does feel more powerful, so i put it down to midrange power.

  3. I had a 90mm drop with 18x7.5, they scrubbed on the front inner plastic guards on bumps and on the rear inner gaurds around corners. 18x7 (with the same tyres and same ride height) gets no scrubing at all.

  4. last week i had to get a new battery and new terminal clips from toyota. i had to return to the dealer because both parts did not fit. the battery was too tall and the clips wrong size. you would think something simple and pretty standard toyota would get right.

the staff said they have trouble because of differing origins either japan or south africa. he also said SA is closed now because of problems. their experience was that turmoil in the country caused local staffing issues. they would train and skill them but they would get killed or die of spreading diseases.

I think im going to demostos my car now, hope it doesnt have aids.

VW and BMW are both SA, do they have the same probs or they import their own staff from germany.

  5. Nah mate lotus elise s runs the 1zzfe engine same from the corolla 70k.

The lotus exige s runs the 2zzge supercharged engine from the celica and retails at 115k.

learn to do your research better...

    Elise 111s is a 1ZZ-FE yes... BUT

    Elise 111r is a 2ZZ-GE

Exige is a 2ZZ-GE with a hard top

    Exige 240R is a 2ZZ-GZE (ie supercharged)

These Exige S also runs the charger.

  6. Does anyone have a sound clip of the ces exhuast?

the only clip i have of a ces on a corolla .... the first car has the CES the 2nd car is stock

    i can "chirp" into second and i only have a 1zz... :clap::toast::yahoo:

So it must be possible in a tivo, yeah?

i believe he was refering to chirping the tyres when changing from 1st into 2nd .... and yes most certainly a stock stivo should b able to do this .....

with regards to the other part ..... yes ur gonna need a lot more power to spin the wheels simply by coming on lift ..... trust me i know :whistling::whistling::whistling::whistling::whistling:

Yeah Xoom thats what i was thinking as well, the only way the wheels will spin is when lift engages in the wet. Bang bang Bang .... :P :P :P

If you can drive, a 1-2 lift change results in quick chirp and off you go...........and breaking the speed limit :ph34r::ph34r:

A short shifter will help in getting that 1 to 2 chirp.

  7. Yeah u cant compare the 1zz to the B16A, they each serve a completely different purpose and 1zz has no cam change mechanisim. The 2zz and the B16A are somewhat comparable since the Stivo is around 1230kg/141kw and the B16A civic has less power but is much lighter. I have never lost a run to such a civic, exept came close when i stuffed up the 1 to 2 lift gear change. Make sure u guys learn to drive the 2zz before you drag, otherewise u will embarase urself. Good driving can bring ur stivo into the mid 14s, while sloppy driving can make it a high 15 second car. Alot of it is in the driver.
