  1. Hey Brendan, I'll also definitely take up your offer also. I don't think we've met yet so hoping you'll be easy to find on the day? For my first national meet will definitely be great having a presentably clean car.
  2. I am in for the go karting + 1. DJKOR, will give you the money when I next see ya. :)
  3. If you also have issues with Insurance Companies sometimes the Insurance Ombudsman is a good way to go. They handle disputes between Insurance Companies and consumers. Its free to the consumer and my understanding is that even just the threat of going to the Ombudsman can help make Insurers be a little bit more flexible as it costs them as soon as anything goes to the Ombudsman usually making it cheaper to just resolve the issue themselves.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! After making that post last night I have finally had the full day today to really get used to the car, however it wasn't until tonight that I really have gotten to the stage where I can say that I LOVE my new car!! After a bit of a week of ups and downs I felt the need to clear my head a bit and figured why not just stay on the road for a little longer so I filled her up for the first time and ended up taking her for a quick spin around Mt Cootha. It's been a long time since I have done anything like that in my old Lancer and I have got to say that she blew my mind a little with how comfortably she corners and handles even with a total novice at the wheel. Anyway, was just so happy with the car that I had to note this down. Thanks again for the great welcome!
  5. Ladies and gentlemen, My nice new (to me) YRX. Currently stock standard but definitely glad I was able to get the YRX. I came from a 1994 Lancer and its definitely a major improvement - a brilliant introduction to the Toyota family. Love the smoothness of the drive and given the size of the 1.5L engine you still get that feeling of exhilaration as you drop the gears and hit the accelerator. Can't wait to get in a give it a good lot of TLC (including some cleaning up of the paintwork) and make her all that she can be with the help of other forum members, but for now I might take it easy and appreciate it in its stock form. Looking forward to heading out to some Brisbane meets and getting some ideas and helpful information. Now you would all know what a stock Yaris looks like but here are some photos taken from earlier this evening. Excuse the quality of the photos since it was taken on an iPhone, but you get the idea. The photos don't do justice as to how reflective the paintwork actually is:
  6. Hey guys, I am a bit of a noob at the moment but hoping to learn much from everyone. Have just bought a 2006 Yaris YRX and already love it! I'm about to put up a Member's Ride thread to keep track of whatever progress may occur so stay tuned. Alex
