Get a few quotes and see. Get the thing repaired structurally and do what you can - 2nd hand bumper and grill from wreckers etc. There will be plenty of these in the yards. I recently wrote off my '88 Camry (only 2 years younger than I am!) - thank god I turned 25 2 weeks earlier! I was on full comprehensive since 18 years old so I am now rating 1 for life with my no claim bonus protected. Even though my insurance when I was 18 for the 1988 Camry was like $1500, I still paid because I knew there would come a time in the future when I would need it. Now I have bought myself an Aurion Sportivo and have it insured for $21,000 more than my Camry was paid out at for a premium that is only a few hundred dollars more than my Camry (this year the premium was like $500 full comprehensive). I never really understood why people who are young are on third party. Yes it's painful financially but will save you down the track when you hit a bit of bad luck. Best of luck

hahaha. Well, when I receive mine I will be confirming with UR in Malaysia when the bars were purchased. The eBayer I purchased from said he has ordered the bars from UR and when he receives them he will ship em out. One could view this a few ways: a) He actually doesn't keep any stock on hand and orders from UR and then posts (weird - what eBay seller doesn't have the stock on hand that they're selling?) B) If he was selling fakes he would have the stock on hand? c) I'm getting royally shafted, he's laughing with my money in the bank and isn't sending anything. Whatever the case may be I will be protected because I paid via PayPal.

Mate those are friggen ridiculous prices for written off SX6s. If they were less than $15k then maybe go for it. I bought my 2008 SX6 with 63,000 km on the odometer for $19,000 drive away from Toyota dealership (they were asking for $22,990 - I told em not a chance in hell and walked away then they called me back ).

Installed 7" GPS/DVD headunit and reverse camera. Removed the really ******* bulb in the boot and replaced it with a row of LEDs. Buffed the dash plastic covering the tacho and speedo. Applied anti-fog to the windscreen. Applied a vinyl sticker of a URL on my rear windscreen.

I'm not sure with the verification. Isn't it simple to just copy the code off a genuine product and paste em on to the fake ones? I don't think anyone can dodge the bullet. The codes on your UR and my UR could be the same, since we bought it off the same seller. IF dffoo1972 is selling the fake ones as Luis from UR Australia said, that means most of us here are on fakes despite the verification. How does Luis find out dffoo1972 sells the fake ones? He bought it off him for the sake of differentiating between genuine and non-genuine sellers? All of the sellers mentioned in the e-mail, have infos which most of them come from official web of UR Malaysia. Not sure about this, but if the items are fake, isn't it against one of ebay rules? Mislead / Provide incorrect info? Yes it is and if that is the case I will be sending the ***** back to Malaysia and getting a refund through PayPal

I'd be inclined to think the Australian supplier is feeling threatened and just can't match the prices coming of Malaysia. Will let you know about the bars when I get them. Will take photos and do a comparo to the genuine/non-genuine photos put up by Ultra Racing.

This is stuff is coming from Malaysia so I am hoping it is the real deal. Close to the source = cheaper price. Will let you all know how I fare. If it is a fake it's a lesson learnt.

hahaha yer....maybe I should blow off the sale and get a zr6 ;) I rang my mate who owns the panel beater place. He said he can't really tell without looking at it but because the tungsten is a metallic paint he will need to blend in the guards as well. So a sand back, spray and blend will usually cost around $800.00 but will do it cheaper. :(

That's like the suggestion someone gave me about hiring a similar car and swapping the wheels so you get new tires. * I do not condone doing this however. Hahaha. The interior I'm so worried about because the damage is at the back and I never sit at the back of the car as I always drive. I'm more concerned about removing stone chips and off scratches here and there. On the bonnet there are a few deep stone chips which go all the way through. Should I get it stripped back and resprayed? It's "tungsten" colour, would this be a hard colour to match and should I be concerned about the colour not matching the rest of the vehicle if I go down this route? I work right next door to a panel beater and spray shop and know the owner well so I should be able to get the job done cheaper than going elsewhere. Just want to get some thoughts here, then I'll check with my panel beater mate when I go to work mid week.

I bargained them down by a good 2.5k from their asking price because of a few issues with the vehicle (cosmetic interior and exterior) but otherwise in pretty good shape. Gave it a pretty thorough test drive, no dash rattle or steering problem that I have been reading about on this forum. I would like to ask about everyone's thoughts on the following: Picture 1: scuffing of rear door. Will this easily buff out? Picture 2: rear door, vinyl tear/hole. IMO I think spoilers ruin the look of the car....especially the sportivos. Would love to see them without spoilers.
