  1. If your looking at putting on the sportivo body kit... is it simply a cosmetic change or does the sportivo kit offer anything in the way of better aerodynamics? just thought i would ask.
  2. I've done quite a few drives between Brisbane and Gladstone (550Km) and I have found that driving in "S" Mode is more fuel economic than "D". I've had the car down to around 7.6L/100 driving in D and 7.2L/100 Driving in S. Both times there was roughly the same weight in the car and same time of day. Could this be helped by dropping it down 2 gears or so before a hill or mountain, as apposed to letting the car change down when it can't quite keep the pace up?
  3. I'm gunna now assume that you pull them straight out and drill a hole for the wires to go into the car...?
  4. Which way do you go to change them? Up from the bottom or from the boot? I've had a quick look under the car but with no avail. (didn't help I was lying on rocks and it was getting dark)
  5. Seems to be a general yes then :D The installation must be pretty simple.
  6. Hey I've tried to have a look to see if this was anywhere else but nothing came up. I was thinking of changing the reflectors to these http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Aurion-06-Rear-Bumper-Light-Reflector-LED-RED-TOYOTA-/360372025733?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item53e7d8b985 any suggestions or has anyone tried this already?
  7. Finally fitted the Sony 12" Sub behind the rear seat. With the middle section folded down it makes a huge difference in sound quality.

  8. I agree with DJKOR that they do not aid in visibility during the day. Mine are hard to see in the day but you know that they are on. A main argue point that i have is that countless times I have had other vehicles drop down 10 or more Kph under the speed limit, probably thinking that I drive an undercover cop car. When i have my day lights on it never happens. In saying this it makes for a much quicker journey wherever I drive as I don't have nervous people in front thinking they will get a fine for doing the speed limit. So i still maintain that yes they do nothing for safety and depending where you put them they look good in your own opinion. (which is the only one you need to listen to)
  9. Only reason is cos i'm young and had no idea what to do when I did it. Asked a mate to help me and he had done something similar. Wish I had found this forum before doing it.
  10. only have daytime pictures went to bed last night and remembered to take a night one but was too tired to get out of bed. I thought it would look tacky too but I found that it quite neatly went into place and if I don't have them on you would never know that they're there.
  11. I bought 2 led strips ($1.50) off ebay and a relay kit ($14.95) also from ebay. I put the strips following the contour of the black trim just above the fog light. they go horizontal from outside in and then slope downwards towards the middle. This is connected straight to the battery at present and I have a master switch located in the indent next to your leg when driving. This allows me to leave them on when the car is off. (I am still yet to connect it to a source that turns off when the car is off e.g. cigarette lighter) Not to sure how helpful this will be but it is certainly a cheap way of doing it. I simply attatched the lights with strong double sided tape and for 4 months now they havn't moved at all. Not the brightest thing during the day but they are noticeable. look good at night. It has given the car a very distinct look and is a constant head turner around town. (Will attach photo if people would like)
